I find it funny that Alcaraz heard Tsitsipas complaining and smiled. Then grunted even louder in the next point. He was trolling him 😂
No fan of Tsitsipas but gotta agree that grunt was long and loud af. Where do we draw the line for hindrance? Or is anything fine if it's a grunt.
Look at Sabalenka matches, my god I can’t stand her grunts every point
I am spanish fan of Alcaraz and I think the same, that IS, the shout was extremely long and can affect to Estephanos' reaction.
There should be no hindrance. Tennis needs to change and allow the crowd to get involved. Tennis needs to stop being boring from the spectator point of view
@@xdiputsm I disagree because players do not see the ball. They hear the shot.
@@xdiputsmThen don't watch it if you can't behave like a cultivated person.
I agree with Stef on this one, those grunts are a little exagerated
I Thought Alcaraz is giving a birth at one point
@@vultur311Luces es lo que le falta a Tsitsipas.
Don’t like Tsitsipas but I agree with him on that, Alcaraz is way too loud and he’s inconsistent with the way he does it, clearly to put his opponent off and it’s really effective in tiebreaks where every point is so important. Djokovic did it to Cerundolo as well, sometimes wasn’t grunting but then did a loud and extended grunt on a key point.
Clearly? Grunts are not meant to put your opponent off. I think you really underestimate how bad of a person you have to be to have that intention. Alcaraz is just grunting for the reason why 90% grunts, just sounds and looks cool bro. No intent to put the opponent off. I do think tho that they dont take into consideration how distracting it can be when they extend their grunts.
It's proven to reduce the opponents reaction time and all the coaches know that
@@Azzurra11111 "Grunts are not meant to put your opponent off" What are you even talking about?! That's what they're used for in reality. You must not know much about tennis. Or else you're just very naive.
@@Account-ez9px Exactly. It's very well understood. I'm amazed that some people don't seem to be aware of something that is common knowledge throughout the tennis community, particularly in professional circles.
@@Account-ez9px i believe you, that doesnt say anything about the point im making though. you think alcaraz has intent to distract tsitsipas? I think he doesn’t.
Tsitsipas makes a fair point
Yeah, as much as I like Alcaraz, Tsitsipas was in the right there.
Tsitsipas has a point. I also think that Tsitsipas desperately needs a new coach (and not just any couch). Preferably a former world number 1 if he wants to improve and turn this h2h around.
Grunting is a choice, sinner is quiet and plays amazing. Iga as well.
Creo que, cuando no le salen las cosas, todo le molesta y busca excusas que nunca usaría si fueras por delante en el partido.
No verás a Sinner quejarse de eso, vaya como vaya en el partido.
Exactamente. Alcaraz fue mucho mejor. Lo demás son cuentos chinos
I don't like anyone grunting but it's not a hindrance if the grunt stops before you try to hit the ball. Tennis players are too sensitive, I would allow the crowd to get involved more during the points as well. It's not like they train in silence. Yet everyone should stop breathing because they are hitting the ball.
It is if you grunting long after the ball as left your racket. It’s a technical high pressure sport where even being a fraction of a second late means the point is over.
Tennis is not some simpletons sport like football and the like.
@@lordwellingtonthethird8486 Guess I'm a simpleton for enjoying tennis AND football. 🤡
Sure, let them invade the pitch too and play a match like gladiators
I mean carlos is such an incredible player but that grunt was very long, it was like shouting on purpose when Stephanos tried to hit the ball. Not nice.
I really hope Carlos is gonna dial down with the long grunts. He really doesn't need that kind of mental warfare.
That being said, his grunts are nothing compared to Tsitsipas Dad talking all the fkin time 😂
I'm assuming he wouldn't be complaining about the grunting if the person grunting wasn't wiping the kitchen floor with him.
Just wow! 🔥
Grunting should be banned full stop, it is disgusting how players like Sabalenka, Sonego, Alcaraz and many other can get away with it. There is absolutely no need to grunt, and like in this case it can legitimately disturb the other player. I am not a big fan of Tsitsipas but he is 100% right on this point.
Razón de qué. Hay que ser mejor y punto. El resto son chorradas.
Carlos heard what Tsitsipas complains about and laughed, lol 4:12
Alcaraz’s grunts are f*cking annoying tbf
Ye I'm not a fan of him anymore. Grunts are so bad
Nah, they're hot
@@saccount8009Excusas de mal perdedor. Punto pelota.
Always remember that Nadal has the most the most disgusting grunt of all time
tennis players (amateurs) never get distracted by grunting, as long as is done when hitting the ball. Most of the times is a breathing - effort- thing
I empathize with his argument. If it can be regulated, fine. But I will be surprised if that happens. The reason is that there are more reasons to favorably consider it than to clamp down on it. It's like saying, for example, that fighters shouldn't grunt while fighting. Extended or not, Tsitsipas must learn to adapt and deal with player grunts because it's just as punishing as it is helpful to the fellow who grunts. Tennis is an extremely physical sport and if you want to win on the biggest stages and consistently, you should be allowed to do everything within the rules of the game to win. Grunting does not violate any current or existing rules.
I think Tim Henman said made a good point years ago. “They don’t do it in practice.”
Alcaraz does even in practice
@@bigtree802 Nowhere near the grunts he does in matches, mate. Watch him practice with Djokovic; he does a mild grunt on the point of contact. However, he’s starting to delay the grunt now like Sonego. I’m a big Alcarez fan btw. Hope he can achieve his potential. Just a shame that people expect him to live up to the likes of the big three. Too much pressure at such an early stage.
This was an opportunity for Stef to brake the rhythm. Politics.
all commentators even former no1 players agreed to check the rules on that Alcaraz grunts actually.
But if you ask me, it is Tsitsipas responsibility to not focus on the grunts.
Easy solution to this long grunts. Simply dont allow them, problem solved.
refree is even talking to Tsisipas is the funny thing, if it was me i would've told him to shut up and play, i bet if he was winning 2 sets to 0 the grunts wouldn't have caused any problems, that's just the usual crybaby attitude, throwing a tantrum cause the game doesn't go his way.
Or ignore them.
You must have never played tennis before in your life to say a comment like this
Love Tsitsipas outfit....looks like a withered banana !! :)
alcaraz made sure those grunts where nice and long :') thats funny
Honestly here Tsitsipas is on the right side...these grunts are annoying!!!!
Its still ridiculous
If Tsitsipas had a decent slice b/h, he would have a much better chance against Carlos.
ye bro he gotta train that...but he would still have trouble hitting the ones with high contact point
Cuando uno es superior....olvidarse de gruñidos!! También resultan molestos los gritos del público entre saques...
i don't the slice would be his salvation against Carlos. Zverev has a pretty good record vs. Carlitos and he does not slice at all The problem is simply that Stefanos is a hyper aggressive player that doesnt like to defend. He wants to impose his game upon the opponent, but against Carlos it just doesn't work on a consistent basis.
This was loud and long. But pretty immediately after hitting.
I remember so many situations where Djokovic grunts at the time when the opponent Hits the ball. And offen in difficult situations when he's Not in the lead. Pretty harmless the grunt in this case. But I understand the complain of Tsitsipas.
Fan or not, I agree with Tsitsipas. Grunting is ok as long as the ball is on the grunting player's side. If you grunt/keep grunting while the ball is already on the opponent's side of the court, it is not allowed. Isn't that also an official rule in Tennis?
Tsitsipas siempre ha sido un lloron, seguro que si hubiera ido ganando 2 sets a 0, no le hubiera molestado nada.
This is why I can't enjoy tennis anymore freaking screams and grunts it's so annoying
You don’t watch Sabalenka then. 😱
Yeah, Alcaraz's grunts are always delayed i.e. they seem to happen after he hits the ball. Must be very annoying to play against.
I have a dream. Alcatraz will dominate Tennis. Has all the tools. 😉
Alcatraz è una prigione! ALCARAZ è un tennista!
E sinner dove lo metti.
But who has that weird deep voice in the commentary??
That has to be John McEnroe, I suppose
Is it possible for McEnroe to stop talking consistently???
It's annoying!!!!
We are here to watch the players!
imagine if someone would pay a commentator to not talk lmaooo some people have the strangest requests
@@luigimanzelli3786
The problem is the amount of talking. I usually watch this channel also for the commentary. But McEnroe with his endless talking is really too much. And no, it is not strange request to be able to engoy the game calmly.
TSITSIPAS GO ON😊
3:57 I mean come on, wtf is that grunting/shouting/roaring
Yep, Carlos is an amazing player, but that grunting is just plain ridiculous 🙄
new rule: Grunting two times, losing the match.
Made specially so that Tsitsipas can finally win against Alcaraz 😂😂😂
Showman & comedian 😂😂
unnecessary comment, n'est-ce pas?
Vosotros seguir quejandoos y mientras Carlitos... seguirá ganando
The grunting has to stop. Its possible without. This is just ridicolous.
It helps them to breathe.
@@bigtree802 you can breathe perfectly well without loud grunting. Dont fall for it. Loud grunting is tactics. Have played myself for many years and learned some mental warfare.
What a hell Alcaraz is doing with these long and loud grunts? It's already on the verge of unsportmanship behavior imo.
Grunting really needs to be curbed on, I get the odd “urgh” if you’ve held your breath or something but these loud and long grunts take the biscuit.
LOL -If you can't concentrate with noise around you, you are really going to have a hard time. It's just whining and because he felt sorry for himself upon loosing that set.
Nice road sign ADIDAS outfit
😂
Stefanos is right,Carlitos is not correct
Gamesmanship grunting going on.
Alcaraz grunts for winners and Tsitsipas' attitude is for losers. What will be his next excuse?
Tsitsi why are you playing this game?
3:56 bro this guys grunt is worse than Nadals😂
And the smerk from Alcaraz as he walks past. Hes lost all my respect
smirk because he has to listen to a crybaby looking for excuses while he's losing, he was gracious actually just smiled, if it was me i would've turned around and told Tsitsipas to go back crying with his dad (that btw doesn't shut up for a single second, but that doesn't disturb apparently).
You were never his fan, dont lie 😂
@@luigimanzelli3786 how old r u 10. I think its perfectly acceptable to complain to the umpire about that extended grunting from Alcaraz. Hes not being a cry baby. We have seen complaints like this before. E.g. Nadal vs Sonego Wimbledon 2022
@@saccount8009 ¿A qué cuando ván ganando no se quejan? Pues eso, ¡más jugar y menos quejarse!
@@saccount8009 he's complaining because he's losing and needs to cry, he's not complaining because there's a reason to complain, or do you think if he was winning 6-1 6-3 he would've gone to the ref? C'mon now, i know the guy, he's throwing temper tantrum as per usual.
Alcaraz es mejor que Tsitsipas y punto. Venir con el argumento de los gritos, es una tontería supina.
Che fastidio sti versacci che ormai fanno quasi tutti i tennisti!
Alcaraz, be a real man and stop moaning!!!
Tsitsipas is a whiner. He doesn't have the game to beat Alcaraz. And it would be easier to take his complaints seriously if he didn't go for his 'toilet breaks' for coaching. Only one of these two is a cheat.
I love Alcaraz, he is very mischievous, he growls and makes Tsitsipas miss the point... 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👏👏👏👏👏 That's my Carlos... 😂😂😂
He sent Tsitsitoilet to the toilet... 🚽 🚽 🚽 🚽 🚽
A real demon...👹😈😉😎👍👊💥🎾
😓😓😓
That grunt is so annoying
Tsitsipas philosofer is a joke
Yup! Stefanos is right here.
i don't like Alcaraz. Arrogant player. Definitely a hindrance.
The father of grunt was "great" Nadal. That's his main contribution to tennis. Before him everyone behaved modestly. How can they disrespect opponent and spectators so much?
Tsitsipas is a pathetic and pitiful player. Every time you lose a point, a set or a match against a player it is always for something. I'm going to answer that shit he said about Alcaraz's growl expanding when the ball bounced and that's why "according to him" he lost the point, "which is an absolute lie," because he lost the point because Alcaraz's ball hit him. stronger than he expected and when he tried to return that ball with the same force with which he hit the ball, it was not enough for him to pass the net... but anyway... Any hater who thinks otherwise and agrees with Tsitsipas, that's what they are for... This is what Tsitsipas said at the press conference and to which I responded with Alcaraz's grunt...
Tsitsipas: I think Alcaraz has some of the best ball skills on the circuit. Every time I play against him he makes shots of a quality that I don't see in anyone else. It always puts me in trouble. He hits deep balls with a lot of lift and I can't find the solution. He dominates me with patience, but he also has the patience to score points. I haven't felt that way against many players, you can count them on one hand. I don't think I can do much against him no matter how hard I try. Alcaraz controls the ball exceptionally and can change direction with astonishing ease. He reminds me a bit of Djokovic when he plays: the way he accumulates points, how he uses his head to constantly find tactical solutions. Answer everyone. He is an intelligent tennis player, with a very high tennis IQ. That makes things more difficult. You have to be very precise against him. During the game I had the impression that he made good shots but his responses were better. I tried everything today, but it didn't work.
😉😎👍
Alcaraz's public execution in the comments because of some grunts, when Tsitsipas himself hugged him at the end of the match. Society is absolute trash.
Stefanos Tstsipas being a clown, part 637664
Carlos is no less then that either, in this case. I mean come on, stop playing like a clown all the time, the 3:57 was just to distract the opponent.
@@ZebraVertov you think that a man who never loss against Tsitsipas needs to distract him to win a point?
I mean come on, they are 6-0 in h2h
@@lokohdsoro5974 Mmh I'm not saying Tsitsipas had any chance of winning, but in my opinion they genuinely don't like each other, so any behavior to make your opponent go crazy is possible
@@ZebraVertov To doubt at this point about the kindness of Carlos Alcaraz seems absurd to me.
