This video is the catalyst of a streamlined, successful, one man band stand, structural engineering business I will create. Thank you for the empowerment.

My template has the primary views all saved in the view map. So I rarely need to go to the project map, unless I need to make a new view. The danger of working from the project map is that you can forget that what you're working on has no correlation to what will be printed (ei, you can be working at any scale, any layer combination, any renovation filter, etc.). By working in the project map what you are working on directly relates to what you'll see on your sheets.

Thanks for posting this, it's really helpful.
Just to clarify, when you say you prefer to work in View map, rather than the project map, can you elaborate a bit more? i.e. Do you build the majority of your model in Project map and then make small changes etc in the View map. Or do you begin building your model from the start in the View map?
    Thanks,
    Fleur

I can't drag my folders from the left part of the organizer to the right part, I don't know why and it's driving me nuts. Any idea?

Unfortunately I haven't seen that behavior before and can't reproduce it, so I'm not sure what to suggest.

Thank you! I actually found it out after few minutes, needed to use the button "Add shortcut..." below!

I usually drag them but don't know why this time I needed to do it by the button.

So you don't run the risk of 'losing work' because you spent the day adding elements to layers that don't show on your placed views.
