- Celine Dion gave a breathtaking performance to a packed house at Caesars Palace singing Barbra Streisand`s One More Look At You for her husband Rene Angelil.

I saw this performance live from the 6th row... and seeing her face throughout all performances was very heart-wrenching. Her voice cracked during my heart will go on... and a few other songs. I am very happy to know I was with all her other die-fans that showed up that day sent her nothing but love and support. This guy came from Poland to come see her that day. I saw her the 23rd and the 24th of February. Both shows were very different -- as Celine clearly confessed towards the end of the 23rd of February show that it was the hardest show she has ever done in her entire career. The 24th she looked much more confident and even did a little dance for River Deep and Mountain High... she looked much more stronger and much more happier. I am telling you... as each show comes by it'll be a tad bit easier for her. The hardest thing was witnessing her break down during "All By Myself" as she couldn't finish the last part - she lost all composure. Another stand out moment of the Feb 23rd show was how she said "Rene taught me the importance of saying I love you... so today I want to say...I LOVE YOU." Nonetheless, we all gave her a standing ovation and empowered her throughout the show. Clearly, one of the most courageous people I've ever seen in my life. I can't wait to go back November. :)
I love this woman with everything that I am. To me she is the most beautiful woman on the face of the earth. My husband made my dream come true when like you I sat center from the 7th row in April, 2004 to witness the Queen in A NEW DAY. My deepest dream. I'm so glad she was surrounded by people like you who love her like I do. God bless.

Every time I listen to her speech, I can't stop my tears. I can relate to what she says as I lost my mother three month ago. I love you Celine.
I was there that night. What a night it was. There was not a dry eye in the place. You could feel our strength given to her. She teared up after the second song. When she sang all by my self and she cried we all cheered and cried with her. There were other moments like that. I give her props for coming back so soon after Daniel and Rene's passings. That what Rene wanted. She loved him so she did it for him. This was the best way for her to pay tribute to the only man she had ever loved.

I'll never live without René, he will always be with me. Thanks for all your words, touch, silences and all your love. It truly made me feel better during the past few weeks. This concert is my way of giving back to you all this love that you gave me. Thank you for being there. I love you

I fell in love with Celine Dion back in 1992. Hearing Where Does My Heart Beat Now, honoring where she started (in the U.S.), it felt really good hearing it again. I joined the Army after I got out of high school to get away from verbal abuse from my mom. After I got out of basic training, I'd listen to Celine's first album on cassette tape every night before I went to bed. It helped me get through a tough time. Thank you Celine. :)

This moment is very very fragile for her everyone should realize that as time passes Celine will carryThe memories she made with her husband every night when she performs she will be strong, she is strong and she will overcome the grief. He will always be the love of her life and the man she only ever had eyes for and he will forever live in her heart but because of him she will get through everything. I believe in her. It can be to soon for all of us and for her as well but this is her life it's what she knows her singing is probably a way of letting it all out I prefer her to be around so many people who support her and continue with what she built with Rene even without him being physically present. I think I cried throughout her performance. Maybe Celine came back to work to soon, she is still hurting and her emotions are extremely raw. For all the critics, please know, that when Celine cries, she looses control of her voice. I cannot begin to imagine how hard it was for her to get up on stage after her husband's death and perform to a stadium full of people. Each song she sings has true meaning and relate in one way or another to Rene and the love they shared. I am praying that our merciful God anoints her soul, mind and heart with love, joy and serenity.
+Debora McGee I agree. While its good to keep busy especially after something tragic, I think she needs more time to grieve. Her situation is not something you just move on from easily. Losing two family members in two days is a lot.

This woman is incredible. What heart. What a voice. Even in the midst of grief and emotional distress, she can still sing like a goddess and ON PITCH! Which is more than I can say for most singers who are superstars. I saw her live many years ago and was blown away. She's the real deal.

Being in the public eye while feeling pain and grief is extremely difficult... whether it's performing as an artist or speaking in public. She was already grieving in one of her earlier shows when she was anticipating her husband's death. How can she not, when the one she lost is not just a husband, but also a mentor and confidant. (I've been stunned by the really cruel postings some people have placed here on UA-cam: calling Celine all sorts of derogatory names and saying how she deserves this bad luck of losing her husband ... and brother... WOW is there any compassion left?)
Celine is perhaps one of the celebrity singers I don't just adore but also respect. She has maintained a loving and faithful relationship with her husband and continued to make her children her priority.
her gift of song will see her through a lot of dark nights ..... they loved each other the way my husband and i loved each other. the pain is deep, the loss is terrible.

You know, all the matrimonies and relationships in the world of celebrities are usually just a pose to sell more and more... Celine is actually the only one whom I believe to be sincere. Her example of kindness, sacrifice and endless love gives a lot of inspiration. I wish everyone to experience the same kind of love Celine experienced with Rene.

Celine has always displayed strong emotions when performing. It not unusual for her to shed tears during a performance, but this was really painful to watch. The pain and the grief was there for everyone to see. It will never go away, but in time, it will get better, and celine will again rock the biggest stages around the world.
She took on a huge song at such an incredibly emotional time in her life. I am a vocalist and know exactly what she's feeling as she sings this. It isn't her best performance by any stretch. It's full of strain and is pitchy and the lyrics are messed up everywhere. I've been there. It's like lifting weights to pull off a song like this under such strain.
But having sung at my fathers funeral a few years ago, the amount of focus and determination while the muscles in your instrument are weeping and don't want to get up, is beyond what the average person could ever possibly comprehend. The outside might looked composed and ready to put on a show, but the inside is in the fetal position and just wants to pull the blankets over its head and cry. What a tremendous loss she endured in front of the world. Bless her for jumping back on the horse.
The show must go on..... I think she need for herself the return of the stage. Because this is her daily job and helps her to come back to "normal" life and find a balance for her new life w/o Rene. It is hard when everybody looked to you and give or gave comments. When you have a normal office job you cannot stay 6 weeks at home. After one or two weeks you have to return, equal what happens inside with you emotions. She is strong, has longtime friends and her three boys. That's helps. She will have up and downs, but life go on. She had time last year, to think about this day and situation. Greetings from Germany. Hope, I will one time see the show live....

I respect Celine for getting back out there if that's what she felt was best for her, but her voice isn't as on point as it usually is and she looks like she's not terribly invested in this performance. I suppose it'll take a bit for her to get back to feeling fully comfortable being back in the performance realm after this terrible loss. I wish her nothing but the best in her healing process.
she got me through good and bad times. she is amazing! my biggest wish is to see her live on stage in europe this year. but i don't think it will happen for now.
