So explain to me the logic of a bad slave because it seems to me black people see the world through eurocentric eyes. How could you be a bad slave if being held captive anything you do in liberation should be commended . How can any so called slave be worse than the people who enslaved them ? Is it good in eyes of a european to be well behaved slave or rebelious one whos persepective are we seeing the world from ours who fight for freedom or the other people who benefited from our enslavement ?

#GoGettersNetwork I respectfully disagree with the professor.. I agree its not just Jamaica but the entire Caribbean has unruly tribes which link back to West Africa.. The Slave Traders sent the Unruly slaves to the Caribbean b/c they didnt want them in the Americas.. This is why they put them on an Island... Itook a course in Binghamton University & stay after class to discuss the caribbean slave trade... The proofessor told me he didnt want to say it plain in the class but YES the Caribbean Slaves where sent to the islands by desigsn.. For instancre the eastern caribbean islands like St, Lucia & St. Vinent.. Many slaves over took ships & go ship wrecked in the eastern caribbean... Also Bookman the Jamaican that went to haiti to asist with the Revolution.. Many other islands had rebels & aisited too.. @@bartjames8004While this is true, respectfully, boukman left senegambia ( today Senegal and Gambia) very young and grew up mostly in Jamaica, adapting to the culture and mindset. Boukman may have witness and spoke to many revolutionaries during is time on the island. He learnt a lot about revolution/revolts and brought it to Haiti and applied his teaching there. Again, respectfully, Boukman was an African-born with an instilled Jamaican culture. Thank you
It’s not “completely” false. Slave traders did move slaves around based on certain attributes (physical and temperament) like livestock. That’s why it was called chattel slavery.

I will have to disagree with his statements. The island of Jamaica ( and others) were used a prison island for Africans who rebelled against the tyranny of colonialism. The British imperials specifically concentrated rebel slaves from different British colonies on the island of Jamaica as a form of punishment. One form of punishment is ‘Buck breaking’ , a form of homosexual act to emasculate the male leaders to instill fear and obedience. To this day Jamaicans are still against homosexuality for that very same reason. The people on the island are still temperamental, hot-headed and display leadership qualities. This is due to the fighting slaves brought there intentionally by the British. These slaves came from the Akan tribes and the Ashanti. Both tribes are eminent for there militancy and warfare tactics. It’s no coincidence that Jamaican as one the most influential human beings on the planet with a war-like attitude

Correction Bookman was Senegambian, he was sold off in Jamaica first before before heading to Haiti. He definitely was not creolised farmed
