Actually the founder of Eden was David Nordschow from Eden Prairie, MN. He would sign his amps as David Eden though. I bought an amp directly from him after he left Eden and started DNA and he signed mine "David Nordschow".
i gotta say, it is nice to see someone doing a bass gear demo and NOT just sitting there doing slap for the whole time. And really do love the bass gear demos! Love if you could carry over to chapman too.
Bass guitar and amp demos are definitely a good thing. There's nothing wrong with your playing for these little demos, but it's always nice to have two people so that you have more interaction and fun in the videos.
Very counter productive to turn the enhance up while trying to demo the different sounds on that amp. The enhance boosts the bass and treble and cuts the mids. You should turn it off completely - all the way to the left - if you really want to hear what the EQ does. That's why you couldn't get the excellent sound that you got playing your guitar licks out of the prerecorded loop. Also, each of the EQ's will cut/boost 15db, which is a lot. As with all Eden amps, always make small changes in the EQ until you find what you like.
I like the review, but I do disagree on the wattage comparison. As a guitarist, bassist, and hobbyist audio engineer, it seems that you generally need more along the lines of 5-10 times the wattage on a bass amp or subwoofer as you do for a guitar amp or main speakers. My 1x12 guitar amp is 'only' 60 watts and it outran my 300 watt bass head running into an Ampeg SVT 410HLF (matched ohms). I've since upgraded my bass rig to a 500 watt head and now my guitar and bass rig are much more evenly matched in terms of volume. Similar story on subs/mains depending on where you cross them over.
i've read engineers who say that to be twice as loud you need 10x the power, and the speaker sensitivity is also part of that equation, the higher the sens the loder the same wattage...so a 300 watt amps is 2x louder than a B15 for example
@@TheBassfresh That's correct as well. The same frequency requires about 10x the wattage to sound 'twice as loud' (10dB) to the human ear. However, the lower the frequency, the more wattage required to produce the same volume as higher frequencies. That's why everyone talks about their sub wattage and nobody barely ever mentions their mids or tweeter wattage. My comment was in reference to his 3:45 comment where a bass amp would need about 3 times the power to compete with a guitar amp. Since bass produces much lower frequencies, it needs MUCH more wattage to produce 'the same volume' as a guitar player. In my personal experience, I've run out of steam on my (at the time) 300 watt bass rig where I had plenty of headroom to spare on my 60 watt guitar amp.
Nice video. Are they made in China? I was told they were ,but the prices don't reflect it.It reminds me of companies like Nike that move overseas and pay people a few bucks a week in sweatshops and still sell shoes for $200.00
Loving the inclusion of bass videos! Finally!

This was a great video Captain. The bass loop with you tweaking the knobs really let us see what that amp does.
The Eden 4x10 cabs are great :) tight and punchy little cabs!!

Come on el Capitan, you can play this stuff... You just play the same thing over and over and over... You are the man, Cheers!
Please keep lee doing every video for Andertons please!! He's way more entertaining than the other ones
Why haven't you gotten Dave or Stig to do these?
I know Stig would love this, especially since he's started doing bass demos out of his own budget

other bass demo!!! its heaven
Actually his name is David Nordschow although he would sign the amps as David Eden if asked to autograph them.
I'd really like to see a review on Schecter's Hellraiser and Hellwin amps!
bring dave in!!
Yeah!
He's on tour
Stephen O'Connor yeah but when tour's over he could just do all the bass demos
Yes, the Captain should hire Dave to do the bass demos.

Why you didn't get paul to do these reviews is beyond me :p
Not that I'm trying to offend you but you don't play bass?
Hey!, the line out is PRE EQ or POST??
Didn't hate them but Dave Hollingsworth would add a lot to the videos.
Don't keep the enhance on for the whole demo next time pls. Enhance is off at 0 (not center)
Yes, I prefer to keep the "fretbuzz" knob at 0.
Any plans on stocking the US made Eden range?
Looks about as uncomfortable playing bass as my missus making a poached egg Haha
Which tele model is behind ?
i like the captain with a bass
me too
I love it, but I think it's one of the biggest bass head ever!
Garbage, this video is of a guy that Owns gear and doesn't understand it. Have fun
