I know :( a couple players told me the ruling at that casino is "if someone IN the hand would like it to stand, they can verbal it, and it does stand." Weird rule, even weirder for the dealer not to let me know about it.
Congrats. I'm not surprised though. To all the new viewers bear in mind that had it gone the other way Sam's attitude would be the same before the start of the next session. Mental game is so on point. When the challenge is accomplished that will be what allowed it to happen. There are players far superior without the mental game that would not accomplish this challenge.
In regards to the all-in out of turn: So, in many casinos the 5/10 game is typically the biggest game running. To keep these big players happy, many casinos tend to have the players police themselves. It's a weird phenomenon but, that's likely why you were said it depends if you complain about it. The other thing is the 5/10 game runs like many 3/6 limit games. The players tend to all know each other, tend to be older... More about just throwing around money and enjoying the time at the table more than really trying to do this game professionally.
99: Solver check-calls down almost 100%. Combo draws are usually calling your raise, the other calling hands have you beat, and you have good draws against a very small portion of those hands (2pr). JTdd: You got lucky that he decided not to bet the river.
The raise was quite exploitative, I don't think I need to get to River with some strong call downs vs someone who isn't going to exploit it. JTdd, you don't think he's folding to a raise? Looked like he was sizing around a $250ish bet
In ur KK hand, seat 2 was definitely angling, because 1) the button, before it was moved 1 inch by seat 7, is clearly in the middle of the end of the table, so it is clearly in front of seat 7, not next to the human dealer, which is the seat ur in next to the human dealer, and 2) if he wasnt angling, he would have gone all in again after u checked like he supposedly meant to do initially. Instead he checked for the free card that his angle was intended to receive. Notice the board, JT, a popular hand that is often called for a raise, makes an open ended draw there, which is a hand someone can angle with, aside from a flush draw. Prior to u stating in the vlog that he had JT, I knew he had either JT or 2 hearts. You cant assume that an angle-like action is not an angle. You have to protect ur pot/hand. If action is reset back to u because a player acted out of turn and u didnt call a floorman to enforce the angler's shove, ur intended c/r is out the window and u now should bet ur hand for protection/value. It might have worked out in ur favor this time, but most of the time it wont. You said LP and angler had some words after. Im guessing LP accused him of the angle?
LA players learn to just check to the guy who played out of turn. It gives away no info, and more importantly, doesn't allow the dealers to make up lousy rulings, or worse, involve a floor man. Still, nice that it worked out for you. The pots you don't lose are often more important than the ones you win!
Well done. Notice how aware you are about other players tendencies and habits at the table in your vlogs. I should pay more attention, learned something today.
Bet should stand as long as the action ahead of the player doesn't change ie you bet. Not sure I would complain or call floor in your shoes either vs what seems to be the whale at the table. If it were someone I thought was a reg though I would.
How on earth is an out of turn action not binding if action hasn’t changed?? That’s insane, I’ve literally never played in a room in my entire life where this would not have been ruined a valid allin if you had checked. I’ve played in a lot of rooms and seen this situation come up more then you would think, it’s literally been ruled as a bet if action doesn’t change 100% of the time. If those are indeed the rules at Commerce that is just a god awful egregious house rule.
Just heard your follow up. You have to complain about it for it to stand? That’s just ludicrous, this isn’t it how it works anywhere else. You ask if it stands if you check, dealer will say yes, you check, he has to shove, nobody thinks twice about it.. Honestly sounds like dealer doesn’t know wtf he’s talking about, glad it ultimately saved you money
Sam, new to the channel and enjoying it. I noticed that you film the action with your chips on the right hand side of your cards, using the left hand side peak as I do. How do you manage this? I’m a has been poker vlogger myself (barely ever was). One of the things that kept me from filming at the table was how tedious it was to fill with my iPhone. This is because of the way the camera is situated on the iPhone.
I only use 1 hand to peel the cards, as long as chips are blocking the person from the right from seeing you're fine. I put my phone on the rail, rather than behind the chips on the table
At 14:30 holding pocket 8's you say "my stack is getting a little short" . What has happened to the big stack you had in the beginning? Don't you show the hands that don't go your way?
Hi Sam! I just started playing poker and had a few good nights out of luck but can tell my knowledge of the game doesn’t even come close to your analysis. Do you have any resources you used when you were starting out learning? You seems to have a great balanced view point and I’d love to learn how to be an overall good player like you Thank you!
I am in no way affiliated with them, however Upswing Poker's lab is where I learnt. Also playing hundreds of thousands of zoom hands on pokerstars and reviewing them is probably essential for anyone wanting to be better than your average live reg
It becomes a bit too merged against his bluff range, I would rather use a bit more raw equity driven hands and go wide with them, like ATo+ KJo+ 88+ and be ok getting those in pre. JTs I think has to be taken to the streets, even OOP it's not gonna be that bad. That was my thinking during the hand
Why is your name bluffalo when you never bluff lol only time you mention is when the action goes and you say if he woulda done this I was Guna bluff. I’ve seen you bluff maybe 3-4 times total I usually bluff 6-7x a session lol
dude you realize that all you had to do was wait for HJ to fold and then when it comes back to you , you can just call. Or could have said simply said check when its your turn. Asking 100 questions and revealing the strength of your hand and then checking is definitely not the play though.
@@BluffaloSam I meant as in you just let the action play out when UTG jammed out of turn, then once HJ makes his action , you can call and UTG can't reverse his action. As this has happens all the time the best thing to do is protect yourself. Say something if you wanted to bet and people tried to check out of turn, and in reverse if someone wants to bet out of turn then check and let them. I wouldn't make any sort of weird scene about it or ask a bunch of questions because as you saw it will just freeze the action as people get suspicious if someone is angling
@@royh8196 I wanted to make sure action stands. If I just did nothing and checked it over, his bet would not stand. The dealer really should've just told me exactly what was going to happen in this $800 pot.
Great session. You asked me in another video about how the game was were I play. Very good. I’ve had 3 pots that were $3k at a 1/2 game. Fortunately won them all. But man, talk about being so nervous. Well not 2 of them as I had nuts.
Man again we differ in how much credit you’re giving ppl to fold big hands in 3 bet pots. You really think the guy stuck piles (all to you), and is most likely on tilt, you think this is the guy who is going to bet/fold the river with top pair getting laid a really good price??? I honestly find it hard to believe you’ll get a fold from better at too high of a frequency there. Also you’re value range there will be pretty fkn narrow. 1010, depending on the suit of his ace very few combos available of A10 A5 and A4s..
I was mostly going to go for it, because the guy had said "this guy always fking has it" quite a few times. Although, I'd fully expect there to be a decent chance of him tilt throwing in the call there
I'm a poker dealer. The all-in should stand. That is a universal rule.
I know :( a couple players told me the ruling at that casino is "if someone IN the hand would like it to stand, they can verbal it, and it does stand." Weird rule, even weirder for the dealer not to let me know about it.
The hand with the pocket K's, where the person 'all in' out of turn, that bet stays unless the action changes in front of him...
So I am first to act, guy jams out of turn.
I can check, the all in stands?
Bad ruling, should stand as a bet as long as the action doesn't change.
That's how it is everywhere else I've played. At least the outcome was positive!
Congrats. I'm not surprised though. To all the new viewers bear in mind that had it gone the other way Sam's attitude would be the same before the start of the next session. Hahaha dealers ignoring players? Yup, that's a requirement to work at the Commerce. 🤣
What a hilarious ruling. Never been in a room anywhere that the bet doesn't stand if you check

You can add money to it and win jackpots based on the hands dealt, they're horrible
