This song hits you right in your feels and his performance is just a cherry on top. Its a painful song which Jimin worked on and shows his struggle in finding his true self; the lie he kept telling himself as he grew as an artist, as a person. It's a brilliantly dark and hauntingly beautiful song, and that's why it's my all time favourite ever.
If you're kicked about knowing how Jimin would sound rapping, you should actually check out his Tony Montana performance with Suga. He's just incredible and pushes himself to unimaginable lengths to give the best he can. One of a kind, truly! Thanks for this reaction. 💜

Lie is just one of the best songs ever. It’s a musical masterpiece and there’s so many explanations as to why if you want to check them out. But Lie was written by Jimin and is lyrically kind of dark, but the song is almost like a cry for help in a why. “Please save me, I’m being punished. I’m caught in a lie”

But seeing and hearing him makes me happy. And he's beautiful, especially when he's performing - he's just so fully himself when he dances, especially, that it makes me want to experience it with him.

Happy Birthday to our precious jimin. I recall that episode but I remember he only had 6 months to train and they kept telling him he almost didn't make it 8 times that definitely would make you doubt yourself especially with no vocal lessons he sat in the back of the room and took notes while the others were being trained. but then to put him on as lead singer and main dancer it's mind boggling. Yes jimin did the first part of daechwita in sowoozoo, he also did chicken noodle soup in Spanish. Suga has been jimins guardian angel since day 1 and he pushes jimin out of his comfort zone and jimin does it, they are really the most brotherly bond I have ever seen, but you can see that because in the soop it's really noticeable. I cannot wait for jimins solo album because at festa he said he asked suga to collab with him in a R &B song...we've been wanting another collab since Tony montana so this should be something else.

I totally agree with you that BTS gives that warm feeling. Every single time. Especially when I put in a slow song from them on a bad day. Yeah, Jimin did a rap verse in Daechwita from Sowoozoo, and then he switched to Spanish for CNS…He also rapped with Yoongi in an older live performance of Tony Montana, and did a bit when the vocal line took over the live performance of Ddaeng…I would perhaps say that rap is by no means his comfort zone, but he can certainly hold his own 😂🤷♂️ plus yes, he is an amazing singer, such a beautiful and elegant dancer, maybe the best performer I have ever seen, and such a wonderful person - loving, humble, giving, kind, sweet, charming, sexy, funny, wise…God peaked when he made Jimin 💜💜

Here is Jimin's singing journey. The reason he didn't believe he could sing or have the potential to be a great singer is because in the beginning Big Hit did not invest in his voice. They immediately assigned JK a vocal coach. Big Hit believed in JK's potential as a star singer. But not Jimin. Jimin used to go to JK's vocal lessons to learn anything he could about improving his voice. JK was nice and did share what vocal exercises he had learned. Jimin heard JK practicing and singing all the time. Jimin figured out...just like dancing you have to practice dance to get better. It's the same with singing you have to practice. Your voice is your instrument. So Jimin practiced on his own. The scene with Suga is not the only video clip of Jimin lamenting about wanting to be able to sing better. One of his lone Vlives.. it's the only thing he talks about. His conclusion...I just have to keep practicing. Luckily, Jimin had been in choir in high school and wanted to be a good singer since back then. So Jimin had the determination and desire to motivate himself toward excellence. He just wasn't getting any pats on the back from Big Hit. Which is more impressive...he improved on his own. And the example of others writing songs and with RM's help and encouragement Jimin decided he could learn how to write songs too. Anyway, his singing got better and better. Now his OST, Original Sound Track, "With You" hit number 1 on many music charts! It's his best vocal work to date. He sings it with a good friend with whom he vowed they would do a duet together someday. So when BTS went on break...Jimin had the "go ahead" and made it happen. Did you ever react to it? I don't think so. So now its time. Jimin's voice is stunningly exquisite, and he knows it now. Life Lesson...if you want something bad enough...go after it. But it will require lots of hard work and perseverance! Jimin did it! I am so proud of him!

Awww man you made ME tear up with that! You're right, they feel like home to me, too. The music - I feel seen, included in it, I guess? So much of it was written specifically to speak to us - army or the world, either way - about things that really matter. And I spend my days trying to talk to the world about things that really matter. So it's like coming home.
Something like that, anyway.
They always say they're nothing special and it's true in one way: they really are just people who wanted to make music that mattered, and worked incredibly hard to do it. I don't know that all of us can be JK or RM, but I do think that all of us have something we can love that much and work on that hard, you know?

BTS is something incredible that we are privileged to witness, they will go down in history for so many achievements and probably for causing world peace or curing all disease, and I don't say that lightly. whether intentional on their behalf or through an ARMY wanting to carry on BTS' legacy I have no doubt that miracles will happen. The stars aligned, when BTS was formed, this is no coincidence. These 7 amazing men have done more for the world in 10yrs than most people could achieve in a lifetime.
