This video was filmed in Pasadena, California on the unceded, stolen land of the Tongva people. We honor the estimated 2,000 Tongva descendants that live in Los Angeles County today and carry on the traditions of their people, as well as the countless Tongva ancestors who lost their lives to colonial and state-sanctioned violence on this land.
Though Katie is rollerblading in this video, she wishes to acknowledge the influence that the rollerskating community has had on her practice of blading and skating, particularly the influence of skate dance culture which was spearheaded by Black Americans in the 60’s and 70’s. She encourages those interested to follow @abominatrix, who taught her some of her moves, and @worldonwheelsla where she has attended skating classes

This song is not just a song, it's the whole summer
I had a wonderful summer in Russia, riding a scooter through the countryside, I bought myself a small house inspired by this song, I bought all the tracks on iTunes, threw a party to a remix of this song by lenno, won my girlfriend's heart by dancing to it at a country club, really loved the sunset and trips.In the summer of 2024, I want to rollerblade with green wheels to this track on the road between the trees, this song carries a lot of positive vibrations and a lot of people became happy to it!

I love them too but do you really have to ask. Think about what they stand for and what the mainstream culture supports. They aren't on daytime TV shows and they are not the next big thing on Fox. Mainstream America is not ready for them yet. I hope that changes in time.
