I love how you clean, you're very thorough! I'm not telling you how to run your kitchen, but putting your apples next to your bananas will ripen your bananas faster. If you find your bananas turning brown kinda quickly, separate them from the apples. Maybe a banana hanger that's not next to the apples. BUUUT, if you like them like that and they never last where they get wasted, then you go girl! Do you boo🥰👍

im 13 after watching this video, i made my own list in google docs and cleaned my whole house for my mom, she works really long shifts and can not come home and deal with the mess. I want to thank you for giving me motivation!
Edit because people are still showing this comment some love
Yess my mom did appreciate it! Luckily my Mom isn't working extra hours and picking up more shifts, she gets off everyday at 3 PM (halleluiah). BUT don't worry, I still clean for her on a daily bases, cleaning will always be a form of therapy for me. Thank you all for the kind words, blessings for all.

I too suffer as you. It’s not my depression that prevents me from cleaning because I start in the living room, cleaning, then I go to the kitchen because my dog lets me know he needs water, so I go in there and notice that I should clean the mat for the water bowl, then I have to go to the bathroom so I go in there and realize the sink is dirty, so I clean that. I have not been diagnosed as ADHD, but this scenario is a classic example. Realize that you are not alone. I actually have 2 to 3 days a month where I have the energy to do anything. I utilize those days to the max! Best of luck to you. I hope this message helps you in some way. ♥️

Same here! When I'm overwhelmed, I put a 15 min timer on. You can start at 5 minutes. I try to be comprehensive with myself. If we ate and have clean clothes, for now it's enough. It's a tough rock to get rolling and it gets easier when it starts moving. Sending love from Canada XX

I have depression and anxiety as well as health issues. I have had over 15 foot/ankle surgeries as well as double knee replacements. My house turned into a reflection of what I felt on the inside. I just cleared out my garage after 4 years of junk collected in there and we only had a pathway to walk in there. I was finally able to park my car in there yesterday! Feels good. My way is one room at a time and if needed,in order to do a good and proper job, take the time needed even if it means taking longer than others may take.

If you have a two shelved cart…you can put your cleaning supplies on the bottom shelf and then wheel it up to whatever surface you are cleaning and use the top shelf on the cart to hold items you need out of your way while cleaning. Saves you time from walking back and forth when moving items out of the way to clean a counter, desk, etc.

Very inspirational. I have a little tip that helps me a lot when I clean. I use to vacuum walls, shelves, pictures etc with a small round vacuum cleaner brush before I clean with soapy water. This way, the house stays dust-free longer and I avoid the hassle of dust clumping and sticking to the cloth :)

I used to work at this really horrid company for many many years & I would work out (had 3 gym memberships) like a fiend, grind my teeth in my sleep & just clean, clean, clean everything in sight. I kept things like old toothbrushes, q-tips, old dishtowels, gloves & old socks for dusting, squeegees for windows, etc. in my cleaning carry-all. I would clean all day & all night as a means of escaping the thought of having to go into that place, esp., on Mondays. Finally, after 15 yrs., I freed myself. Thanks for this video. make a list and do one thing each weekend until it is all finished. That is regular home maintenance and everyone has to do it. So if you schedule it you can get it done. Enlist the whole family to help with jobs that are age-appropriate. Every kid has to learn home maintenance and basic little repairs. You will teach them to be independent and good eventual home owners. Also cleaning should never be restricted to just the Mom doing it all. They need to help with decluttering and cleaning. Any six year old can try his hand at handling a vacuum, dusting, lining up shoes on a rack, folding clothes from the dryer and putting away. Make chore lists from an early age and teach your kids to do the chores properly; praise them so they learn to feel useful and take pride in their work. Can you tell I am a Mom and was an art teacher? That job entailed teaching my students HOW to use paint, clean brushes, use crayons, ink, construction paper, clay, etc. Montessori also teaches kids to do this sort of home maintenance, even down to the correct way to close a drawer. In Girl Scouts we learned how to properly make a bed and in 4-H we learned how to sew. Kids often miss out on this kind of thing nowadays, which I feel is sad because they live such limited lives on their cell phones and video games without gaining real life experience.

    Hi Jenny,
Started watching yesterday as I relaxed, before heading out to enjoy the day with my kiddos. Today, I'm watching as I tackle laundry and tidy up my house.
Rewatching these videos, I have realized how much I have gotten done using your cleaning list, I feel that for me it really helped to have someone for motivation as I clean. I thank you for that.😊🤗

Thanks for this Vid Im 61 and I have learnt alot!!! Also its given me the boast to continue sorting my house after it being let go for a very long time. On that note Ive also heard of the something called Swedish Death Cleaning it might sound bad but I think its a good thing to declutter especially before it becomes too demanding to do so :) ( I also think their idea is to not leave a huge cluttered mess for your family which is a little too European in thinking for me. I just believe its benificial to declutter for your own well being and especially before your older and cant move around as well or dont have the energy. Thats a bit of my motivation I want to get my house where I want it before the aging process takes over and I cant do as much. I also want it sorted so I can start LIVING and doing other things that worrying about this house being messy and run down Lol :)

In the last few years, I experienced some challenges in my life that were draining my joy and cluttering up my place. After months of frustration and discouragement, I hoped someone's UA-cam content would help and I found your channel and my search ended. I have watched hours of your content and I am definitely more knowledgeable about how to clean and organize and that's great and that info is key to mentally positively but the #1 take away are the tools to clean out and reset existing internal misinformation with new thoughts of empowerment and worthiness that are essential to being mentally healthy. I'm grateful for you and your channel. Thank you.

Kind of late, but I wanted to share! My mom has lived in a new house for about 3 years now, and has been so focused on making the rest of the house organized for my step-dad that she never even unpacked her own special space. So this weekend, I helped her turn her room into an actual room! No more boxes and bins making it impossible to walk, just a tidy, open space that she can go to when she needs a break. She was teary eyed when she looked at it all put together. My mama is the best! 💜

Whittle down your clothes every season. Donate stuff you have never worn, are tired of wearing, or that have stains or holes. Do not replace those. Once you are down to a manageable amount of clothing, then whenever you buy one thing new, a used item gets donated. One in, one out. Whittle down shoes and purses; most women have way too many of them and those $250 handbags are ridiculous in price and give a person an inflated feeling of specialness or importance. Do not look at fashion magazines and instagram accounts of fashion idols and you will immunize yourself against such huge expenditures on clothes and accessories. Same with hair products, makeup, bath products, candles and home decor. Most of that is not necessary. With nail polish running $10 a bottle, OMG that adds up so quickly. If someone feels they spend too much on certain things, try just one week NOT going shopping. For those addicted to shopping and going into major credit card debt, this is a serious psychological problem that can cause them to end up in serious legal trouble. If you have daughters get them involved in things not related to their appearance. Concentrate on talent, skills, and build on INTERESTS like music, sports, fine arts. NOt on their appearance, such as taking part in beauty contests. UGH!! I HATE those. Concentrating on their skills in music, sports, or fine arts can get them very nice college scholarships that save you thousands and thousands of dollars. And they can graduate with little or even NO college debt to pay back. My Mom taught me how to make quilts and I sold them in summers in HS and college. Now young girls do furniture flipping and they can make a lot of money doing that once they start small and get some experience using paints and finishes...
