Wow, I’m really surprised the shad were even palatable. I’m guessing it probably had something to do with the size of them. I’m not going to run out and catch some just to try them so I’ll just take your word for it. Jaxson and Brindly missed out on this one. Another fine video 👍
Wish I was eating some of that catch and clean. I'm up for eating just about anything.Give my stomach a workout and a break from all of the store bought fluff. It is amazing how you are able to create so much content with nature. Even more important is that you are with family. That is priceless.
Learned from an old friend that creek chub were good. Score them like a sucker and start at one end and go to the other. Good tasting fish. Love your taste testing videos. Shoot, I love all your videos😅
Well done guests! You could live on them if you had to. I love fried whitebait and those are just baby fish. Those gizzard shad do stink when they get big.
Back when i lived on the coastal area of Louisiana, the Vietnamese would save the ribbon fish while trawling for shrimp. We threw them back but they woul sun dry them and eat them like jerky. I dunno how they tasted but ya never know.
they eat little fish like that in Japan so it doesn't surprise me that they taste alright. I live up here in Louisiana, MO and do a lot of Mississippi River fishing from the bank. I'll have to keep eating shad in mind when the Cats aren't biting!
Interesting to know that bait fish could supplement a diet in hard times. But you know people eat sardines all the time.

Another awesome taste test. I have an idea for a video. Taste test fresh fish vs frozen and see if people recommend one over the other. ❤

Never tried minnows or gizzard shad, but used to net chubs in the creek and fry.
