  • The societal pressure to love work and the prevalence of being overworked often lead to exhaustion even after taking vacations. It emphasizes that this constant busyness is not what we are called to do. Instead, it highlights the importance of observing the Sabbath, a day dedicated to rest and delighting in the goodness of God. It points out that even God took a day to rest and enjoy the world's creation and encourages people to embrace this practice. The main focus is on understanding and practicing the Sabbath to find true rest in God.

    Not just any day. It says to remember THE Sabbath day. So which day is that?

      Everyday in Jesus is The Sabbath.
      Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God. Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances, (Touch not; taste not; handle not; Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men? Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body: not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.

      New moon marks new month. Every 7 days after, quarter moon, full moon, last quarter back to new moon. Check out WLC biblical calendar. Sabbath is same days each month but does not follow our Gregorian calendar.

    The seventh day is Saturday. The Sabbath begins at sundown on Friday to sundown on Saturday. It is to be kept during that time and that is what separates us from the world. Well, one thing. There is more spiritual depth than most understanding. BUT IT IS NOT ON SUNDAY and IT IS NOT WHRN WE CHOOSE. Sunday is not in scripture. Easy…no. But Yeshua said the count the cost .
    Why would Jesus keep a certain to not break his Fathers commands and then turn around tell us we can break them. The world can rest…so if it’s any day you want…how does that separate us from the world and makes us holy? Set apart

      This is scripturally not correct. Sounds good but it is not what God said. 7th day over and over in scripture.

    • @izaakmcdonald2152
      @izaakmcdonald2152 3 місяці тому

      @@C.P.R.3 that is not correct. But if you can find scripture that says that, please share. Yeshua was a Jew. All of the books are written by Jews who knew the law. Here is what it does say:
      “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.”
      John 14:15
      “For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished.”
      Matthew 5:18
      . So you are saying that Jesus, a Rabbi, did not teach His disciples the commands? Paul’s writting can be confusing but must be read slow and context is key.
      “So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise.”
      John 5:19
      So if Jesus can only do as His father does. Jesus will never ask us to do something that he has not. The misunderstanding is the Grace message. Grace is for when we CAN NOT do something on our own…not removing parts of scripture because it’s not necessary and doesn’t bear consequences in the moment. He gave it to us. I didn’t not understand any of it until the past 3 years. It is special. It’s intentionally prepared and anticipated.
      Let’s me ask this…I rest every day and sleep every night. I relax when I get home from work. What separates the rest spoken of in scripture as opposed to how all of the world does it?
      Because God said to do it at a specific time. To be holy is to be set apart. Something different than the world. It funny how if a church was to plan a summer Bible study on a Friday night, no one would say a world and probably attend. When God makes a clear point to spend this time with us…we question.
      The truth is…it’s not meant to be understood until you do it. There has to be action. Most people dismiss what the do not understand. They do not understand because they have not tried.

      @izaakmcdonald2152 Lets start with John 14:15 as stated. Who's Commands as stated in this verse? Lets look at Where and when these where handed down. Which Law... Christ's Law or Mosaic Law?

    • @izaakmcdonald2152
      @izaakmcdonald2152 3 місяці тому

      @@C.P.R.3 they both came from Yahweh. Christ never said to not keep the law. The answer is both but some of the mosaic would not apply today. The truth is that most Christian’s keep most of the laws anyway. The ones that people have a hard time with are to do with time and diet. God does say that His law stands forever. I would like you to remove the law for a moment at tell me right from wrong. Also, tell me how you show love to you parents. How could you ask for Grace if you don’t know the problem? How can a wound be healed without being recognized?
      “For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.”
      ‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭7‬-‭8‬ ‭ESV‬‬
      “For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am of the flesh, sold under sin.”
      ‭‭Romans‬ ‭7‬:‭14‬ ‭ESV‬‬
      WWJD?
      He kept the commands through the power of the Holy Spirit. Interesting how so many people quote “I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me” yet somehow they don’t believe “all” applies to Gods commands

      @izaakmcdonald2152 sounds like your saying Christ Law is the same as or equal to the mosaic law? Sounds like I'm hearing you say Blessed are The peacemakers doesn't completely cover don't steal,kill,lie, for starters. Blessed are the merciful doesn't cover them? Blessed are those who Hunger and Thirst after righteousness? Shall we not reap what we sew? Should we not turn and give them the other cheek? If we are not baptized IN The Holy Spirit and walk in The Charge given, of course a person is still under the Former ownership. Which Law was Abraham under? Genesis 26:4-5
