"Ride With Best" was the CMC logo from the era and I as a weekend warrior back in the 70's I can attest to that. I still have two of my CMC membership cards. R.IP. pops miss you and the Sundays we spent at Saddleback and Carlsbad....best times in my life
LOL I raced that day and wish I would have stayed home and watch the Bears win the Superbowl. Got bad starts both Moto's and worked like hell just trying to get to mid pack. I always hated this dry, hard as concrete track. I did park next to Ricky Johnson and that was fun in itself. We had these 3 girls hanging out most of the day that were in Tijuana all night drinking and showed up looking for Ricky. Those were the days.
God, this takes me back! I absolutely loved moto/supercross back then. My cousin and I lived for the weekends when a race was going to be televised. I actually have this episode, as well as the 250's and I think the 500's from '86 through '88 I believe, on VHS stored away I'm my closet, lol! RIP Steve and Brock.
This is a shot in the dark. The first 125 moto had to do a restart because of a crash in the start. Im sure it was recorded and Im hoping to find it. I was involved in the crash

I was lucky enough to attend the Suzuki school of motocross and race on this track in 1980, what a great time of my life, awesome memories!
I heard Hannah was a Suzuki test rider in 1975 for a very short period of time, making about $600 a month. Did you ever hear that?
@@theyliedtoustheusaisnotwha7687 That's true.

I did not hear about him riding Suzuki but he did ride a Husky 250 for a short time.
Sí 👍 tremendo 💪
I raced there in 88 🦾🔥
What month was this ?
Carlsbad didn't need to bring in extra dirt use dozers or water truck because it's all concrete.
