Hi thanks for checking out the video and the DCTL. I forgot to mention in the video that those patches adapt to the timeline resolution, so you will always see the full pattern without cropping, letter boxes or pillar boxes. It works in any timeline resolution.
Hello. I accidentally installed the seemingly complicated DCTL from your channel without much expectation, just for fun. While analyzing the LUTs I have, I was really surprised, and even more amazed when I used it to set the contrast curve - it's absolutely perfect. Until now, I especially wanted to understand how much I was shifting the exposure, particularly in the shadows, highlights, and mid-range contrast, and now I can finally see it. I'm truly grateful for you offering such a tool for free. ❤
This looks like a fantastic utility DCTL, Sven! It's so generous of you to provide it at no cost to everyone. Thank you for your hard work putting this together!
Hi thanks for the feedback. I've had quite a lot of thoughts about color management in the tool in the past and I get where the need for it comes from, but I came to the conclusion, that it also doesn't make sense. Since those patches are only test patterns that are meant for different use cases it totally depends on how you want to interpret them. Adding color management "forces" a certain logic onto them that I personally disagree with. The only patch where it totally makes sense imo is the "Ramp + Patch". But please let me know your thoughts on this, because I could be totally wrong with this. Appreciate it. Thanks :)
@@NOIRGRADE Yeah, that's the reason why I'll never buy luts again. Well I saw it always as gambling. But now with Artlist MAX pro, giving me everything, I'm happy really! They give me, voice over, and LUTs in addition to music and SFX. Footage I do sometimes use but rarely. Because some LUTs are nice but only in a fraction of type of shots, and it's very different for everyone what type of shot they have from objects and colours in it.

Cool tool! Just a feedback, if it's not color space aware, you should do a version that works on scene linear

Excellent many thanks!
WOW, everyone selling LUTs should show a quality score pls, of the 2 times I bought luts packs that they were just really bad. Or not all that useful
If all of those people selling LUTs online would show their LUTs on test patterns no one would buy them ;) Thanks for watching
