This will be the last goodbye to the good, old Roblox. We will all miss how it used to be, and know there’s no going back now. I remember those dream-like moments when we played and had fun, making some actual and great friends, and we thought it would last forever. Little did we know it was all going to end soon. It the “last online 4 years ago” didn’t already make us cry enough, Roblox as we knew it completely started vanishing. I guess we all agree that it will be missed.

I remember my first days of playing Roblox, back in 2014. Back when the logo had personality, back when the clunky games could be played for hours. I kept seeing ads for it on flash games websites, and I eventually caved in and signed up. My first game was "Welcome To Roblox Building", and I think I could immediately tell something about the game was special. The memory of the game loading, the geometry and textures only partially loaded, still swims around in my brain today. To watch the game I once found by chance and fell in love with turn into a platform that only seems to shell out worse and worse updates every day... well, it hurts. I still play the game, but it's never gonna be 2014 again.

yesterday i was playing with my cousins who are 10 and 7 years old. it was this one game called easy grow obby and it had a gold boombox as one of the gears you could get at the end. i made sure to play raining tacos for them so that they remember the song and roblox as a whole forever.

Even though I’m from 2017-present day era of Roblox, I’ve always understood that kind of nostalgia. Every game was different, more fun players and games, and Roblox gave us good updates constantly. Now, we only have a few decent games, a toxic and inappropriate community, and a company that rarely gives us a half baked update. Really the only saving grace was the conference we had recently giving us some wanted features. Anyways I’m writing too much. What I’m basically saying is I think my love for this platform would have been exponentially off the charts if I played it in its glory days.

I can’t explain how much roblox built up my childhood years. I remember walking into class everyday singing this song with one of my friends. It kind of pains me to see the app starting to put age guidelines and cnphangouts etc. When I started playing, we had fidget spinners obbies, and tycoons. i miss the friends i made there :( i don't play roblox anymore, but those memories will always be in the back of my mind. i remember meeting two of my best friends in hide n seek, their names were Sasha and Zombie. i had just chosen a random name to go by based on my favorite minecraft youtuber at the time, so they called me Ally. i was about six at the time, and the last time they were online is when i was around 10. it broke my heart, since i never really had super close friends other than them. i still sometimes wish them merry christmas or happy thanksgiving on our old gc. i wonder if they ever remember me. i remember wishing that santa would bring them a present or two if he could, even though i didn't know where they lived or who they were. i also had a job at koala cafe. it was awesome, and i loved it there. i'd always invite my classmates to come and join my game so i could serve them whatever they wanted. another time, i was playing robloxian waterpark- one of my favorite games to this dat- and i wouldn't stop wacking people with the pool noodle. they started getting mad at me, which only made me laugh more. there was this one noob playing that very song on his boombox, and we just stared at eachother for an minute. the moment he said not to hit him with the noodle, i wacked him right off the map. i swear i laughed until i cried when i heard parry gripp get quieter and quieter as he fell. i also really liked to rp, and i honestly still do. the pizzeria simulator was really fun. i made a couple other friends there. neon district was by far my favorite showcase game. it's the reason i love dystopian stories so much. there, i met three people who were actually pretty good friends to me. chase, otis, and mark. well, mark wasn't really. i was around 12 at the time, and he was 14. he kept harassing me and asking me to send _pictures_ of myself. i never realized how bad he was, and i'm glad i don't speak to him anymore. he was actually the one who got me to download discord, and i'm still friends with so many people from there. sorry about how long this post was, i just wanted to share my childhood with you all. if you're still reading, thank you :) have an amazing day.

I remember my first days of playing Roblox, back in 2014. Back when the logo had personality, back when the clunky games could be played for hours. I kept seeing ads for it on flash games websites, and I eventually caved in and signed up. My first game was "Welcome To Roblox Building", and I think I could immediately tell something about the game was special. The memory of the game loading, the geometry and textures only partially loaded, still swims around in my brain today. To watch the game I once found by chance and fell in love with turn into a platform that only seems to shell out worse and worse updates every day... well, it hurts. I still play the game, but it's never gonna be 2014 again.

yesterday i was playing with my cousins who are 10 and 7 years old. it was this one game called easy grow obby and it had a gold boombox as one of the gears you could get at the end. i made sure to play raining tacos for them so that they remember the song and roblox as a whole forever.

I remember the first time I played Roblox in 2013, and one of the first things I heard was this song. This song brings back so many memories. When they removed this song, it just felt.. wrong. This raining tacos memorial is also a memorial to the good ol' days of Roblox. Now the games full of hate, and toxicity. Back when this song was everywhere in Roblox, it was full of love, and was just fun. Now Roblox is full of copy and pastes of other games. It's all just the same simulators over and over. No variety.

Even though I’m from 2017-present day era of Roblox, I’ve always understood that kind of nostalgia. Every game was different, more fun players and games, and Roblox gave us good updates constantly. Now, we only have a few decent games, a toxic and inappropriate community, and a company that rarely gives us a half baked update. Really the only saving grace was the conference we had recently giving us some wanted features.

i don't play roblox anymore, but those memories will always be in the back of my mind. i remember meeting two of my best friends in hide n seek, their names were Sasha and Zombie. i had just chosen a random name to go by based on my favorite minecraft youtuber at the time, so they called me Ally. i was about six at the time, and the last time they were online is when i was around 10. it broke my heart, since i never really had super close friends other than them.
i still sometimes wish them merry christmas or happy thanksgiving on our old gc. i wonder if they ever remember me.
i remember wishing that santa would bring them a present or two if he could, even though i didn't know where they lived or who they were.
i also had a job at koala cafe. it was awesome, and i loved it there. i'd always invite my classmates to come and join my game so i could serve them whatever they wanted.
another time, i was playing robloxian waterpark- one of my favorite games to this dat- and i wouldn't stop wacking people with the pool noodle. they started getting mad at me, which only made me laugh more. there was this one noob playing that very song on his boombox, and we just stared at eachother for an minute. the moment he said not to hit him with the noodle, i wacked him right off the map. i swear i laughed until i cried when i heard parry gripp get quieter and quieter as he fell.
i also really liked to rp, and i honestly still do. the pizzeria simulator was really fun. i made a couple other friends there.
neon district was by far my favorite showcase game. it's the reason i love dystopian stories so much. there, i met three people who were actually pretty good friends to me. chase, otis, and mark. well, mark wasn't really.
i was around 12 at the time, and he was 14. he kept harassing me and asking me to send _pictures_ of myself. i never realized how bad he was, and i'm glad i don't speak to him anymore.
