Each of the members were stellar players on their own and playing together they were magical. Long live Matt, Kevin and Michael. RIP to the rest of the lads, you ARE remembered!
It’s Sliabh Geal gCua. A west Waterford song which I absolutely adore and is embedded deep within my being. And I am a woman of the Déise!! I’m actually hoping to have it played as my parting song at my funeral…. I’m terminally ill with I reckon a few months to go pg!! No, not morbid, I want to make sure I get what I want, not what someone else might think I want. THIS is what I want. I hope you grow to love it as I do!! 😊
@@elizabethwalsh3390 Thanks so much for your reply. I will hunt up performances of Sliabh Geal gCua on youtube. I was happy to find I have a printed version in Ceolta Gael 2. “...Mo ghrása thall na Déise idir bhánta, ghleannta is shléibhte...” The jigs and reels are fine, but as I get older I think it’s the airs and songs that bear the weight of the world. I am very sorry to hear of your illness; you have my prayers and good wishes from New York.

Anyone know the name of the air Martin Fay played at the end?
