In software design and #softwarearchitecture, we often face the question: should we build this generic or specific? In this talk, Bert Jan shares his experiences and thought process as a developer and #softwarearchitect with choosing between generic and specific solutions. He discusses generic vs specific design & architecture, both on a project level and organization level that can help you to choose between generic and specific solutions yourself.

Thanks for this great video. There are lots of more things to say about scope modelling and making the requirements tied to the code, visualising scope modelling in the Architecture as well. Separate between scope of need, scope of control, scope of solution and scope of change from the BABKOK (R). Having this information in one place, updating information continuously makes a solution understandable.
