How is this band not huge? they write songs that other bands would kill for. Don't ever stop making music cos the world would be a lesser place without The Wildhearts.
Best live band ever! I first saw them live at the norwich oval in 1995 then the waterfront then the uea then Donnington monsters of rock. I thought they were the greatest band at the time. They should of been huge!
I'll always remember a very young Chris Mac playing me a few snippets of the early demos when he worked at Kings in Sunderland, I've followed the band ever since. Every member that's been through the ranks has brought their own thing to the band, especially the lads from South Shields, a very special band, very much underappreciated in my opinion, Ginger is a phenomenal songwriter. Never ever write him/them off..........
I know this vid is simple - being recorded in a studio - but I like it (before the second part; shoulda dropped that). It strips down to basics to show the band performing. Love watching the members, esp. Ritch and CJ. Glad Ginger shaved. :-/ :-)
Supposedly "reputable download stores/sites". I don't know where you are or what "repuatable sites" are available. I think he mean iTunes and such. No idea which country's or all, etc, or if DRM is a problem. You can click on the "Roundrecords" word at the top and send 'em a message to ask.
I miss danny as he was there from day one, and I hope he is doing well. (bring back the yo yo's) gut yeah this is the best line up since danny left, I met CJ at a jellies gig in bristol, he's sound as,
theagk19781 and tonight seven years later The Main Grains (Danny's band) support The Wildhearts in Manchester and Danny will play on the Wildhearts encore . Full circle😀😀
"9 years ago" made me smile. It's been a long road but they're still doing the damn thing, Renaissance Men is an absolute gem. Danny is good. God bless The Wildhearts.
@PsychoholicSlag83 i actually found out about thee guys through this guitar arcade game site I was playing, they are pretty interesting so don't worry, maybe you will seem them in another country someday :-)
Wildhearts fans! There arent't that many here in Argentina... that's why I'll probably never see them live :(... fuck! I do my best to get people into The Wildhearts with poor results, this guys are so fucking good and no one knows them... It's so fucking unfair! :(
i thought they reminded me of one song by green day they dont really sound like green day but when you hear this song thats the first band you think of is green day
This has been my comfort song for like 12 years

It's a measure of how awesome the band is that this live version recorded for the video is even better than the studio version on the album. Genius.

I love this song and The Wildhearts!
Great!!!
Like the split video of studio to live footage - something different for a Wildhearts video as well! Nice work!
Great video. How this escaped being a single till now is beyond me. Should've been number one for 27 weeks. Shortly followed by world peace.
I was much the same. Listened to it forever. Great sounding album too. Kudo's to whoever engineered it.
Cheers
Kudos
I loved this album from the first listen, "you arrive alone, and you'll die alone" sad but true
GREAT! The reencarnation of THE CLASH. Fantastic
In which the Wildhearts prove that they can do Green Day better than Green Day can. Love it!
Both are pop melodies with distortion guitars.God save the Sex Pistols...
Green Who now?
i'm gutted i was too far to the side to be in the shots of the crowd, but still, that was an awesome video!!!

1:45 to 2:00 and some other parts are inspired on I Fought the Law from The Clash and im pretty sure of it.

this is a good song but my question is why Rhapsody doesn't have the group listed?
THIS SONG IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
billy bragg i meant!!
@jaspreetsinghpaul me too yeah
@PsychoholicSlag83 yo soy argentino y me encantan
sounds just like the melody from ;to have and to have not; by billy bragg, recently covered by lars fredericksen, it does, listen,
"Supplied and provided by the BAILOUT LOAN" The song isn't new, but it can be dead-on accurate in the right context, esp. here in America.

to have or to have not, lars frederikson (origionally billy bragg)
i thought they reminded me of one song by green day they dont really sound like green day but when you hear this song thats the first band you think of is green day
Do you know what the song really means it was for the black community of the seventies Revolution
verse reeks of 'to have or to have not' billy joel covered by lars frederikson. but i dont care. love wildhearts.
Aca tenes uno jaja
And we're all queuing up for the government loan...how prescient was that?
There she was just walking down the street
Singing do a diddy diddy dumb diddy do

LSD! LSD :) da real deal :P (beside of peyote, ayahuaska and salvia)...
Crack is crap...
Cheerz from Argentina!! GO GINGER!!
for starters. think of the year they started, and the year greenday started.
+auscarry They sound just like early greenday. You are crazy if you can't hear it.
Amazingly dumb comment.
+xcvsdxvsx Are you deaf?
Joeskint Note the use of the phrase "sounds ... like" in my original comment.
The intro riff sounds really Green Day-ish. Noone's dumb here.
listen to Gingers VAST catalogue mate. it is vast and diverse. this isn't even a fraction of a percent.
no not sum 41 sorry :S lol
GREAT SONG N BAND ! ... reminds me of sum 41 a tiny bit
they don't sound anything like green day
