Yes I think at the time that was the furthest walk I had done. It was a fairly flat section so manageable. Yes the dog incident was funny when I look back on it, not so much at the time though 🤣
Over this weekend I've done Porthtowan to Hayle and then Hayle to St. Ives. Was tough as first walk of the season. Great weather and an enjoyable walk.
Hi John. That’s a great stretch of the path. I know what you mean about 1st walk of the season, I’m currently on day 3 of my current walk and have found it tough at times.
Beautiful - but seriously long - walk 🤩 Lovely North Cliffs and Mutton Cove. Good choice to walk on the beach. The dunes can be hard work and with limited views as you said. And I believe that it is not frowned upon, if Paddy Dillon says it's OK 😁 And the beaches and the colour of the sea all the way to St. Ives are amazing. But it was really horrible with the dog incident 🤮😄
I wish my camera was able to provide better quality when zoomed in. The seals at Mutton Cove were hard to capture but I felt it was worth including that clip of them. Thankfully the present from the dog did not smell 🤮
Hi Paul, really enjoying watching your videos as curious about the SWCP - started from the beginning and carrying on through. Really well done, it's not easy at all to do those strenuous walks and get the filming in. Fab music and editing too. This episode I can relate - those dreaded dogs that wee on you. Hope you were ok after that. Have had my beach tent peed on so many times - after washing, now I spray it with citrus detol spray, that seems to have fixed it. Looking forward to your other videos - onto day 20! Thank you. Miranda.
Hi Miranda, glad you are enjoying the videos. If you’re curious about the SWCP and have any questions just ask. I think from memory I washed that shirt and sponged my bag at the campsite that night so all was good 😊
Really enjoying your videos of Newquay to Penzance at the moment as I am booked to do that section at the end of August. Doing it with B&B accommodation along route. Doing slightly different sections than you to fit into the accommodation options. You videos are such a great source of information so thank you.
@@pilgrimpaul7798 I have experienced a fair bit of that section already ( holidays etc ) but not so much on the path so it will be great to join it all up. The beach at porthcurno is so beautiful
Another good little story - so useful and interesting ahead of my own walk from Newquay to Plymouth starting next Tuesday - Very well done on the 22 miles with the tent and all the stuff.
More excellent stuff from you Paul - many thanks, each one is brilliant! A long day - I have previously stopped in Hayle and walked to St Ives as a half-day or nero. I am vicariously upset by the leg-cocking incident - did the owners have anything to say?
Thank you. It’s so nice to hear when people like the videos. I would probably recommend splitting the walk at Hayle. I would have liked to have spent more time on the beaches and had a swim but I didn’t have time if I wanted to stick to my plan. The owner didn’t see it happen. Thankfully it did not smell.
That was some good distance on that section, cracked up at the dog 😂

@@pilgrimpaul7798 it's so beautiful on the coastal path, my son and I are doing this section in May. Can't wait to get back down.
Well done Paul, another great video and your animal magnetism is going up😀
🤣 it’s only taken 30 something years

Superb presentation as always. Cheers from Newquay.
Thank you. That feels like such a long time ago now.
Nice one Paul that's a fair distance 👍
I loved the music choices in this one
The fit really well.
Dog pissed on my tent once they should be banned !
Cheers Dean. I find picking the music is one of the hardest parts of editing, sometimes I spend ages on that.

Padstow to St Ives will be my next section I think after I do Penzance to Falmouth in September. Another great video. Thanks mate
Padstow to St Ives is a great area. I have been missing the north coast.
Nice drone footage Paul. Long old day, great effort mate.
Thanks mate. This was the only day on this trip that I was able to fly the drone. Most of the end of Cornwall is a no fly zone due to the airport.

Amazing! Just love the views and amazing walking path along the coast! That is how it is done! Awesome adventuring...Bruce and Otis
Thank you both. It was a great varied walk.
Just done that section Paul. The Towans were gut busting though well waymarked and the section around Hayle is a drag.
Hi Kevin. Yes I completely agree with that. Beautiful beaches though.

You have a great section coming up, that part of Cornwall from St Ives to Penzance is my favourite. All of the mining heritage is also interesting.

🤣 I see what you did there Steve 👍
