I was in the same Camp with One+ as well but what killed it for me was their absolute lack of any software support starting with the 7 pro. It was sending out standard Google security updates 3 months late. So in March, we were getting JANUARY'S security update. Unacceptable. And from just browsing their forums, it seems as if they haven't changed their ways even though the hardware might be heading back to the "old days" in of One+.
I bought an 8Pro and it was pretty alright, minus the shitty camera. Then the update to Android 11 came and it was all fucked up since then. Ever since mobile data will randomly stop working until I reset the freaking phone
Another to add to the list: OnePlus software does not support NFC keys (even if it says they do). There's a bug that prevents setting up MFA with NFC. USB appears to work tho. I own a OnePlus 8T+.
i got one plus 7 pro back then because idk if you guys remember, they tried to live stream trying to hang weights on the pop up camera showed how it's strong and everything. Lol the pop up camera is still there didn't break but camera doesn't work anymore. Problem with android phones are that the software does not know its hardware. this is very common issue, one plus never responded everyone had to throw the phone away including myself. and also one plus promised android 12 and my phone never got it, even to this date. One plus is not it. Android in general is not it.
6:58 The lenovo Legion Duel and Legion Pro was the first gaming phone to introduce two USB C ports on their phone, one of the bottom and on the side and you can actually charge the device twice as fast if you use both USB ports to charge at the same time. Which is nuts
I'm a bit surprised the S23 Plus didn't get any love from either of you. Solid performance, larger screen than the S23 but not the square-edged monster of the S23 Ultra, good battery life, and most importantly (as with all phones in the S23 lineup), reliable commitment to software and security updates.
well, they had to keep the list limited to 5 phones each. the S23 plus doesn't offer anything significant over the S23 apart from the size (bigger screen, bigger battery, etc).
s23 ultra is easily the only phone that one needs. If you can get use to the size and boxy corners, the other aspects of the phone are so good that I can hardly complain about them. If I knitpich, Shutter speed is the only complain I have. (My 3 month review)
I also keep 2 phones. Right now, I'm using Pixel 6 Pro & iPhone 12 as my daily drivers and I'm more than satisfied with these phones. I'm 101% convinced that you don't need latest phones to get the best performance. My phones will get software updates for at least 2-3 more years and they perform amazing. Plus, I always buy my phones A+ condition renewed/refurbished to save 30-40% off since they're basically new.
The s23 plus is just too good. I like the ultra but it's really big and boxy, so i went for the middle one and i can't really describe how satisfied i am with this device. 😊
This is the same reason I'm upgrading to it in a few weeks. I don't need the S - Pen and couldn't adjust to the boxy corners. The S23 Plus is more than good and I will feel most complete with it also due to it's size.

@Doug D That was a good phone for its time. The problem with Samsung is their slow processing. Well...slower than others, because all phone cameras have to do a healthy amount of digital processing to get decent shots. That's why, when you use something like Camera Assistant to speed up the shutter, photos don't come out as good: you're getting pretty much what the crappy phone sensor is seeing. For any real photography, I moved on to Nikon full-frame.
@@wall57805 I just checked and holy shit yeah its just wayy too expensive, its so expensive in fact that it shouldnt even be regarded in the same category as the others, the 512 gb version is a 1400$ and the 1tb is 1620$ like what? that is double any other flagship. Imagine buying the 256 gb version for 1200$ in 2023... that is just not enough memory on a phone nowadays, I have a Oneplus 6 and looking to upgrade but I am not going to spend double what I spent on the oneplus 6 FIVE YEARS AGO to get the exact same memory (256gb)... the biggest reason I want to upgrade is the memory but strangely enough it seems to be one of the few aspects that phones never really improved on in any meaningful way over the past 5 years, smartphones have really hit a plateu for this S23 ultra to come out today and have people buy it at this pricepoint.
I still have the S21 Ulta, and I think it's still one of the best phones. How it feels, it looks and the quality there is now reason to switch because of the enormous price gap.
I love how Marques describe Samsung flagship phones as "boring". It just means no matter what feature wants to attract you to others, Samsung flagships have 'em. The default phones kind of.
nubia z50 starting at 2600rmb -370$ with SD8 gen 2 & nubia z50 ultra at 4000RMB-565$ , both are really under-rated in the west and really 100-250$ cheaper than competitors
I have been using the Galaxy S21 Ultra for the last 2 years and it is excellent. I don't even use a tenth of what its capable of. Watching tutorials on YT has educated me on how to use functions I wasnt aware of or if there is something I want to know it can be Googled. There isnt any logical reason to upgrade as long as it still receives regular updates. The only phone I would upgrade to is the S23 Ultra no doubt but really there isnt any logical reason to do so plus there is the hassle of getting a new phone number and your coveted apps have to be installed on your new phone. I went thru all of that 2 years ago and not anxious to do it again so for now I'm good. Nice video as always.
This year on Android side, I fallen in love with Honor Magic 5 Pro. It reminds me those great days with Huawei Mate 20 Pro. It was great having it in pair with iPhone 14 PM.
Huawei P60 Pro. King IMO, purely for the durability. p30 pro still received an update...4 years later. no wonder they were a threat to the rest of the mobile industry.
The entire mobile industry would be falling on huawei's knees if they had google play access to international market just imagine! But to be fair I think they're priced really way too high given that it does not currently have GSM very bold of Huawei to keep prices close to samsung, honor etc flagships

A power user would edit videos or create music with GarageBand, edit Numbers docs, AR apps or XCode. You can do these tasks on an iPad Pro or a Mac much easier.
Im on the same page with mkbhd I've had the s23 ultra iphone 14 pro max but the one I keep going back to is the pixel 7 pro currently rocking right now. Black with a leather black case and it looks elegant 😍 the software is top notch and the cameras perform very well during daylight which 9/10 pictures i take are during the day and giving that I'm not a heavy user the battery life makes it through the day with a good 40 percent still left by the end the of day.
Personally rocking the Z fold 4. Love the folding screen since I sometime work on the go with my phone and that screen is just so convenient instead of carrying a 17" laptop with half the ram of the fold. If you travel a lot then the Pixel 7 Pro is the only phone you should be using. Arguably the best cameras on a phone and those translate features could save your life

I'm shocked also
S23 plus user here and I love every bit of this phone ❤
Still wondering why they didn't speak about it tho
Because the ultra is better?
@@amponsahoforidarkwah6376 bro i thought same. I mean s23 series is the best of the year. Im rocking s23 ultra 512gb
well, they had to keep the list limited to 5 phones each. the S23 plus doesn't offer anything significant over the S23 apart from the size (bigger screen, bigger battery, etc).
very nice to see you two MKBHD and Supersaf, my two favorite vlogers
s23 ultra is easily the only phone that one needs.

@TransportionHeadquarters 👍. I really don't think you would regret it. You would be really satisfied with the battery performance too amongst others.

Every now and then, a phone comes along that unquestionably ticks ALL the right boxes. This year, the Galaxy S23 Ultra is that phone.
Even camera? Don’t Samsung oversaturate their images?
@@Snoop_Dugg the camera sux , way over saturated, look at dxo, and the design sux, too boxy just like the note 10 four years ago!
@@myfakeguuglaccount8307 I had the Note 4, and liked the saturation at that time. But hated how slow it was to take a shot.

S23 Ultra rocks and is the best, Iphone 14 pro comes next on my list
Yea but the price is insane. It's simply insane price tag, even for the best.

I love how Marques describe Samsung flagship phones as "boring". It just means no matter what feature wants to attract you to others, Samsung flagships have 'em. The default phones kind of.
They're biased, why carry an inferior phone... for social connections 😂
I'll love if OP11 include the Pixel 7 cameras, or the P7 place the same shape and screen from the OP11
nubia z50 starting at 2600rmb -370$ with SD8 gen 2 & nubia z50 ultra at 4000RMB-565$ , both are really under-rated in the west and really 100-250$ cheaper than competitors
Great collab man!
Love your videos saf❤

How is the battery life? How many hours on screen? I'm a power user and I need to know if I can make it trough the day
@@gr33z23 Depends on what apps do you use.
I listen Apple music and podcast on the way to work. I watch UA-cam videos and Apple TV shows often during my lunch break. It is connected to my Apple Watch 24/7 (so BT is always on). I don't use social network apart from FB.
I used to create stop motion animation using this iPhone's and massive amount of data was transferred to my Mac via AirDrop.
After 21 months of usage my battery health is 89%, which allows me to get about 1.5 (sometimes 2) days usage with a single charge. I also use FaceTime frequently for a few hours each week.
You can kill the battery within 4 hours if you play games.
What do you mean by power user?
The word "power user" sounds lame as we are talking about a phone. A power user would edit videos or create music with GarageBand, edit Numbers docs, AR apps or XCode. You can do these tasks on an iPad Pro or a Mac much easier.

Using the S23 Ultra since it came out and love it
Im on the same page with mkbhd I've had the s23 ultra iphone 14 pro max but the one I keep going back to is the pixel 7 pro currently rocking right now.
If money was an issue I'd get the pixel 7a just because its basically the 7 pro with a lower res screen.
Fold 4 is nice phone until you open it and the screen cracks down the middle mine is only 7 months old and many other people are experiencing the same problem yet samsung won't own up to the fault hope yours doesn't get the famous crack and blackout
I got one screen replaced on phone then second screen on fold u had insurance and rhe woman told me in a recored phone call it was 25 for a replacement. The hinge wasn't right. I stopped folding my replacement. I have a bill from 70 bucks to 375, I was told 25 bucks or I would have gotten screen replaced. I gotta do something this isn't my fault
I had the black out, Samsung won't fix it they sent it back so I went through insurance
16:16 - I had the Pixel 7 Pro for a while, but it had the screen flickering issue. Fixing it won't fix it forever... Got rid of it for the OnePlus 11 - my first 1+ and I kind of like it! Too bad the 7Pro was not good, I liked as a phone... especially the clean Android Os.
Did you see the difference between cameras? I saw different battles between them, sometimes 7 Pro wins, in some areas of photo and video OP11 wins. So hesitating wich to choose..
