Mark, Thanks for taking the time to put this together. I'll be at ECR the end of the month running with CVAR. Lots of good insight to help me shave a few seconds. We may have 8 FCs competing .
Hi Everyone, Just a heads up. I will be doing another more extensive video on Eagles Canyon both in CCW and CW directions. The purpose of this next video will be to add a greater level of detail which I hope can help you in various ways to gain performance. On top of visor cam footage, I will also include some Motec data analysis details. If you have any ideas, wishes or such please feel free to send your comments. thanks, Mark
Hello, I really enjoyed this video. Very informative. I have done a 2 day racing school and what you've explained here is exactly what those guys taught. My question for you is could you possibly make a video on race day track etiquette and proper ways to pass? The only ways I know are in corners adjusting your entry or exit speed to get an advantage. I've never seen or done this on the track though. A video explaining how to adjust your line to pass and still be fast would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
Hi Sam, My race car uses a pneumatic pressurized air system to control up/down shifts using air actuator which is mounted on the shifter itself. Driver input is from paddles in the steering wheel. The mfg. is called Geartronics UK based company. Let me know if you have other questions. thanks
@@NixonMotorsports thankyou for that I just have another question in regards to steering knuckles I’d like to build a f1000 race car and I find it really hard to find information on steering knuckles or even photos of them just wanted to know what you would recommend me to go with wether I should buy them and if so from where can they be purchased , or make some would be much appreciated.
@@samfahed9237 Hi Sam, I will take some photos around the steering area next week and post them for you. This might help. There are several F1000 manufactures out there one I recommend is stohr web is dauntlessracing.com
@@NixonMotorsports when I can make the trip. I’m in Lubbock, TX but hopefully I can go out 1 or 2x a year. Next event I’m gonna do is likely MSR Cresson or Harris Hill.

That is a great idea, I will think about how I can do this with my next track video. Thanks for subscribing!
Awesome thank you. I look forward to it.
Great video. A basic question for you, from a non-racer. What does the short hand on the tach indicate?
That shorthand you pointed is the rev limit of the engine or sometimes the peek rpm recorded. Let me know if you have any other questions.
How do you change gears using a motorbike engine ?

First time around, nearly turned left at 12. The blind corner and front straight played tricks on me. Don't be like me.
Yes, ECR does have a few blind entries to get used to. Learning the track, braking points are needed. Are you heading back to ECR at some point?
