It is the Malaysian version of taro cake, not the Taiwanese version. Why do you say that? Is there any difference between them? I think the taro cakes of the two countries are different. The difference lies in the production method, texture and taste. Malaysian taro cakes have a lot of fried and fragrant decorative garnishes on top. Taiwanese taro cakes are just one piece, and most of them are fried. In terms of texture and taste, Malaysia will fry some fillings until fragrant. Put it into the taro cake and steam it. It tastes like there are more fried ingredients in the cake body. Taiwan’s taro cake is relatively simple. The ingredients for this vegetarian home-cooked meal are as follows:
800g taro
5 dried shiitake mushrooms
30g vegetarian shiitake mushroom legs
15g ginger
two celery stalks
300g cabbage
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon white pepper
1/2 teaspoon allspice
375g Zailai Rice Noodles
60g sweet potato powder
15g fennel
half teaspoon salt
half teaspoon white pepper
1100CC water
1 teaspoon sesame oil
Cook sweet sauce:
2 tablespoons vegetarian oyster sauce
2 tablespoons bean paste
two tablespoons rock sugar
a bowl of water
Appropriate amount of Taibai powder water

這個版本對台灣人來說比較硬喔,想做的人可以用粉的4.5倍~5倍的水試看看喔
芋頭特性會吸水,所以口感要軟的話,要增加水量。
