The interaction between the operator and people is simply stunning. It must be extremely rewarding for the operator to know that you can have fun yourself with the public via the mic and get a crowd to participate. In the Netherlands an atmosphere in a ride cycle would be unthinkable
I don't like the general crowds at funfairs in The Netherlands. Always intimidating somehow.

I was just going to comment on that too, I've also seen this in a youtube video of Sidney luna park's rotor for example, they reassure the riders of the attraction and make them participate. Here in Belgium and the Netherlands, it's often very dry but there are exceptions.
