Only true means no other. Besides the Heavenly Father who is the true and Living God there is no other.
The Heavenly Father is one above all, before all, with life within himself who is God of the Living.

With that being said, is Jesus the only one to potentate, as, by your logic, that is what 1 Timothy 6:15 suggests? The verse in John 17:3 does not separate Jesus from being that one true God; it just shows Jesus' acknowledgment of God the Father being the true God. From your comment, I can see you have not watched the whole video.

I perceive your response to be carnal minded and puffed up with pride of life.
1 Timothy 6:15 "he shall shew" / declare, don't forget John 1:18, and that Father is with him., John 8:29
John 17:3 "only true God is the one spoken of in verse 2 who gave Christ power over all flesh and eternal life to give to us. See John 5:26, John 6:57, John 10:18, John 13:3, John 12: 50, etc

@@Micaiah144 Puffed up with pride that made your father the devil from the skies? No, it's just you projecting your deepest, darkest thoughts about yourself. "Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only potentate, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords?"" You have run from the fact that he is the only potentate, King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. Whether it is sequential or not, whether you think it is to be established later, he is still called the only one within their titles. Does this mean God the Father does not hold those titles? You say the power was given to Christ, yet you fail to understand that Christ says he does everything with the Father. John 5:19-21 goes on to say he himself lays down his life; John 10:18 shows they are always working in harmony and are inseparable from one another.
      Philipians 2:6-8
Who, being in very nature God,
      did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
7 rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature[b] of a servant,
      being made in human likeness.
8 And being found in appearance as a man,
      he humbled himself
      by becoming obedient to death-
      even death on a cross!
Jesus humbled himself as a servant by taking on flesh. He then received the glory he had with the Father BEFORE THE WORLD was after his resurrection (John 17:5). Now tell me, serpent, how can someone bring EVERYTHING into existence, which by means would establish him to be outside all created things (time, space, and matter), not make him an uncreated being (God)?

similar to Moses but greater, also see John 17:22-24 and Ephesians 1:3-5, while considering John 18:36.
Those that are in Christ also have glory with the only true God our Father before the world was, before the foundation of the world.
      Seek inspiration from Isaiah 43:7-10,
It seems you are a carnal minded buffoon howevever you can always repent to the God and Father of our Lord. John 7:16-18, John 13:32.
The increase is of him who knows and decides the day and the hour to his own glory.

When you see that people are redefining words: *RED FLAG* Only means only in *every* language you can imagine. Jesus Christ (anointed one) IS NOT God Almighty, He is the Son of God, the King of Israel!

@@thisisinvictus Yeah man, keep denying Jesus his words. When Jesus said: YOU *are* the *only* true God... (John 17:3). *Questions:* 1) Could there be another true God or God besides the Father? 2) How many persons is YOU?
Words have no meaning anymore, so we are going into Lalaland. Mark my words!

Jesus is the word because he speaks his fathers word. The Father created everything thru his son. The trinity god is a strange god and is not a doctrine of scripture.

If the Father created everything through his Son, this implies Jesus existed before everything was created, showing us he is outside of anything created, which by definition is God.

@@thisisinvictus It must have been a big problem for the Nicean Creed people who invented the Trinity because they had to murder the opposition. Why? because the scriptures don’t teach a trinity in any respect. Rome had to destroy three nations who opposed this false teaching. They used the slur of ‘Arian’ to demonise these people as is done today, even though Arias did not believe Gods son was created but begotten. The Trinity god has a wicked spirit attached to it called the spirit of antichrist. It’s so viscous that they will demonise and silence all Questioning of their god. Yes Christ created all things by the word of the Father. The Father is the sovereign of the universe who has a literal begotten Son who has received thru inheritance all that is His Fathers. “My Father is greater than I” He declared.
