Man that was a great gadget in the Community Fun Maps too. However, Supercell has compensated well for the removal of the gadget with the revision of the Super. But the Starpower "To the Max" that came out with Surge's release was legendary in Showdown. It's a pity that it was changed but it was just too op😢

I understand that you’re nostalgic but I personally really like new Surge (I prefer him now). His gadget made epic plays but it was too broken, like in showdown you couldn’t run away with instant tp Surge running on you.
Except if you knew how to get away?
Nostalgic but honestly i think they made surge even better. Able to move while jumping gives such advantage over throwers
IDC power shield is the best gadget for surge if you play aggressively

Nah bro they buffed Surge by doing this. His super is basically his old gadget with slightly less range and it got replaced with the Power Shield gadget which is straight OP. If you think Surge has been nerfed then you don’t know how to use him with this new change

Nah brother. I don’t think you know how much DPS surge can do. And the tp is INSTANT. His super is predictable as hell. you couldn’t even play showdown back then because surge dominated every match
Honestly this isn't too bad, I mean, now you can aim-jump your super (you can charge the super very easily)
IMO they must replace 1st cadget with teleport again so he has the shield and tp cz I find ppl will use hoth of them as 2nd is still a great one so then he has both used cadgets not only tp cz 1st cadget isn't even needable

Reworked ult + old gadget is basically too strong, and in hands of skilled player its over for any brawler
Surge is one of my fav brawlers. I have mechanic paladin surge and I miss his old gadget and old to the max star power. They needed my boy badly
