a little tip for gens going stupid: if they're on a city (level 3+) you can build a broadcast tower to temporarily remove the stupid and move the gen off. once he's moved though, he'll go stupid again.
I am a vanilla player and I’m so pissed I beat the conquest 1943 America in 21 rounds because some nazi on a sub decided to take a Canadian port and I have no air power to reach it and the Canadians are too incompetent.
Abrams also has rumor built into his kit, his first perk break thro encirclement on killing units will reduce the morale of 2 units within 1 grid away from him and if you level it to max then it's 100% chance rather than rumor which is at 75% chance per attack, if you kill three small units around generals then Abrams will make two generals around him stupid rather then one with rumor and a better chance
I think the Best countries in the new 1943 Challenge are Allier Countries such as the UK, USSR, and finally the US, but i think the best is the USSR. With the sheer amount of Troops in Stalingrad and Moscow makes them so OP even without you wasting some Generals of yours. The Artillery and the IS3’s in that Stage that you get to control makes it even better, i was able to finish the game in under 30 rounds. Also do not and i mean do not Play the Axis Countries unless you have Maybe Maxed out Generals or even a Maxed out Manstein, Guderian and Rommel. The Buffs in the challenge makes it so hard to defeat the Allies combined with the Enemy forces encircling you from Africa, Pacific Ocean and in Normandy. You can easily Defeat the Allies in the western front but it makes it complicated because the eastern front is a literal Hell hole.
The USSR and Soviet Union are equal. I both completed them in 14 rounds. The easiest two star country is France. Completed in 18 rounds and the easiest one star country is Egypt. Completed in 20 turns.
I went through this conquest with only 5 generals: Tito, Pavlov, Halsey, Leeb and Horton. I only made one landing in Spain with a captain and then I disembarked the other generals and with Soviet help From the east we defeated Germany but it cost a bit and then we defeated Romania, Bulgaria and Italy and then we went for Japan and we defeated it and I passed in less than 50 turns it was my first victory in challenge conquest mode
Try Usa vs all challange mode 1943 i gpt it done in 30 rounds its still a challange. You declare war on everyone right from the start of the game. So you have no allies.
You can go 2 ways. The first is to make him a full powered air general or the second is to make him your complete income general by putting industrial and technology on him.

It is useful full sure but I like the range of Rumor on Manstein + Excellence Medal
