marvellous informative video colin , pigeons are vastly underated in some quarters , they used to send messages during ww1 and ww2 , using the pigeons as information carriers , with the important message , tied to the feet of the important pigeon . .. in some cases , the message would say " can you send a pint of milk for the tea" for the army recon in flanders.
OH MY STEG YOU HAVE POSTED VERY VERY INTERESTING WORDS WHICH ARE GRATEFULLY RECEIVED==THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THEM==YOU HAVE BEEN VERY KIND TO THE CHANNEL TODAY AND THANK YOU AGAIN FOR EVERYTHING
Hello again Colin Good to see you The pigeon weekend is very popular event every year And it's very busy at the winter Gardens Thanks again for your video Take care Colin and see you soon in your next video
Hi Colin outstanding video of the show again (even more because I’m in it lol) thank you very much for taking time out to film my good little friend Little D he has enjoyed himself immensely, just a footnote the record for the highest priced pigeon at a British auction was beaten this year the bird made £67,000 along with his nest mate who made £40,000. Thank you once again and I’ll see you next year
Dear Colin I have just seen your video and it is very good as always keep up with the very good work and take care of yourself and your lovely Susan,, Peter, ps see you on Sunday morning
I do like the look of those adjustable steps/stools - a wonderful invention! The framed photographs of the kingfisher and the badger were exquisite. A very interesting presentation of feather types and the diagnostics of possible problems in racing pigeons. Evolution has created such intricacy. The professor might have interest in the goose feather quill in my scriptorium. If geese were racers would they still fly in V formation en route to the loft or maybe paddock? Seeing the transporter took me back half a century. On my commute terminal in London I often saw the small platform tractors pulling along trailers piled with wicker baskets of racing pigeons which arrived vis the goods compartment to be taken on by more trains to the release destination. Quite a sight in the old sooty victorian station. It was usually Royal Mail red sacks piled high on the trailers! Kris has sent off for the device that records check-in times ... Betsy knows it has to be fitted ... there might be a chase first! :-)
MANY MANY THANKS TO YOUR GOOD SELF AND KRIS FOR VIEWING THIS VIDEO==YOUR WORDS MAKE AS PER USUAL EXCELLENT READING==HOPE YOU ENJOYED THE SANDWICHES AND DRINK THAT BETSY MADE FOR YOU AND THAT KRIS FOUND THE CHOCOLATES TO HER LIKING==TO YOU BOTH I SEND BEST WISHES
