After Almost 70 Years, The Original Savory Restaurant Still Wins in the Fried Chicken Game

"Binondo is the oldest Chinatown in the world. Filipinos have enjoyed the restaurants along its streets generation after generation. The Original Savory Restaurant is undoubtedly one of the most iconic ones. The place was opened in 1950 by the Ting brothers; and they initially specialized in lomi. But after expanding its menu, their crispy fried chicken and gravy became their new signature dish.
We asked-it’s “sah-vory,” not “say-vory.”
