  • I get my hands on this thing finally after a week or so of waiting from ebay, and hopefully it turns out good. This isn't a tv, its a video monitor from Sony that was used from everything involving cctv to movie making and even medical purposes.
    Pretty aesthetically appealing set for sure

    Hey! I know this is a completely different video to the one im going to refer to, but i just had to say thanks! You've mentioned in a few videos that some Toshiba's are made by another brand called Orion, which really helped me today. Bought a Toshiba CRT and none of the codes on my universal remote were working, but after remembering what you said I tried an Orion code and the swcond one worked!! Seriously man, thank you for getting me a bit more knowledgeable on this niche hobby, you saved me £7 since I didnt have to buy the matching remote for the TV too. I'm going to be sticking sround for more videos for sure, thanks again :)

      For sure! Unfortunately the eject tab broke during shipping for slot 2 but slot 1 seems to work.
      Also I need a new button for int/ext sync, after tearing it apart its definitely not working :( so no rgb, but component works fine

    Nice score, those batteries are expensive as hell even if they’re likely depleted. For RGB ext sync, grab a rigid test wire and try connecting pin 3 (ground) to pin 4 (ext sync) on the remote port at the rear. That should determine if the button is shot or if it’s something deeper in the circuit

      I'll definitely give that a try and see what happens

      @@P-0-Seventeen fingers crossed it will sync that way. If so then it could be a workaround to bypass the broken button

    I have this one, and the grey's are not quite grey, they are kind of brown. How do I fix this?
    Also the image doesn't fill the entire screen, and the top kind of expands away from the bottom lol. Not sure where the adjustments are for these.

    • @P-0-Seventeen
      @P-0-Seventeen  6 місяців тому

      Not sure about the brown part, but the adjustments are inside on the left and right boards. After uncovering the outer frame, you have to unscrew and pull down each side of the inner frame to get access to the boards and potentiometers.

      @@P-0-Seventeen I found the adjustments just not sure what ones to turn for the change lol. I assume RV507 (V. Lin) yeah?

    • @P-0-Seventeen
      @P-0-Seventeen  6 місяців тому

      @SweetBlu There should be service manuals on it, linearity only changes the bias of the screen between top and bottom. But there should be potentiometers for h/v size and position on some pots.
      Could also see some of retro tech's videos on those where he works on the boards of them to get a better idea too
