Furthermore, there is a lack of awareness among Yoruba youths and politicians about the Yoruba kingdoms in Aniocha North local government in Delta state. They may not realize that "Warri" means "Iwerre," similar to the Iwerre in Oyo state, or that the Itsekiris are ethnically and linguistically Yoruba. This has resulted in a sizable population of educated individuals in Yorubaland who lack essential knowledge about the Yoruba heritage, including the presence of millions of Yorubas living outside Nigeria in West Africa.
