Hello Kitty & Kuromi Instant Cold Pack Experiment Endothermic Reaction is Great!

Hello Kitty, Cinnamoroll and Kuromi instant cold packs. I bought them at dollar store Daiso. The package said that it keeps cold about 15 min, so I verified the effects. The mechanism of instant cold pack is endothermic reaction of urea and water. It's simple and fun. But it isn't good to touch urea directly, so don't open instant cold packs.

Japanese Daiso stores alway look like they carry just about everything cool and interestingthat you can think of. Would definitely love to visit one some day. And yes the 3 Sanrio cool packs are so cute and easy to use. Just squeeze and shake to get the two compounds inside mixed tougether. And then apply to affected area. Do love the Kuromi one the most. 💜 I do keep cold and heat packs in a huge tackle box with other emergency items like bandages, small sewing kit, bug bit sticks and etc. And no you shouldn't cut open hot or cold packs. I used a cold pack like this when I hurt my knee once. It's fascinating how the chemicals work to make it so cold.
The only thing I don't like about the Sanrio brand is the logo on the package. They shouldn't put a drink on the front when it's not an edible item. Just my opinion on that.😊
