One of the best remembered vignette's from Tallulah Bankhead's radio show "The Big Show". Dorothy Parker's works were much more appreciated in former years than is the case today.
I really wish they still had these kinds of radio shows...comedy and suspence. It would be very refreshing to turn on 21st century radio and hear Tallulah Bankhead's voice or Lauren Bacall's voice or some other golden age actress/actor in one of these old time radio classics. Even radio performances by someone from this generation would be refreshing.
Wow! Beautifully done! Rips your heart out.
Fabulous recitative, fabulous prose. Perfection.

GREAT ACTRESS
Tallulah is most amazing when she acts vulnerability.
Quite true and not generally known to most people.
I worship her...

She and Ethel Barrymore were the queens of Broadway in the 40s and 50s.
Happy new years to our Dorothy Parker new hats acclaimed

Listen to the Radio show of Tallulah reading from All About Eve """""""
I heard an audio recording of this by the author Dorothy Parker and it wasn't this melodramatic. It had the wry sarcastic wit that DP was famous for
This recording is only about 1/3 of the "Telephone Call" story.
Tallulah Dahling...💋💨
If i could have Tallulah, what could I do?
I'm straight but she might have been able to lure me over.
She has been dead quite some time, so not much could be done with her! Lol
