The "both my sons are leaving" hit the hardest.
“You and I would take a little walk” is my fave. ❤
I’m not crying you are 😢
poor Phil
Right?! I’m not crying, you’re crying.
I for real smacked my chest a little and am totally crying right now!
I love Jays evolution more so than any other character on the show. The way he went from a closed minded distant parent who loved his kids but didn't show it correctly. To someone who was supportive, understanding and capable of change and Great amounts of emotionally growth was amazing. The writer's and actor did so well with his character.
Or he worked when he was young and when he got old and rich he could do what he wanted, which all along was to get to know his kids. Happens all the time and requires no writing at all
He was CLOSET MINDED
(I am deeply sorry for that pun but.... It was right there to take it)
So the short of it is Marry a spicy latina who will open your mind to the joys of Love and Family?
@@user-lj8fx8ic6n 😂😂😂 That's funny
@@utubesuxalotofazzI'm pretty sure you didn't watch the show bc he's very awkward with his kids in the beginning and seems super uncomfortable with cam but clearly you can see that's changed by the end
This is Gloria's impact on Jay . Gloria actually turned around the family
She really did. It's great that the show made her more than a trophy wife.
this!!! for all the jokes and games, gloria is really the glue that sticks the 3 families together
She is a beautiful women.
Agreed you can't deny the effect she had on him and everyone else
She's horrible
"...and I'll be your dad until I'm gone"
crying
Cut to Gloria laughing hysterically.
I was sobbing when I saw it 🤣😭
Yeah that one got me too
Him dancing with Lily is so cute. I don’t think I’ve seen him be a grandpa for her
Yeah Lily doesn’t have many scenes with people other than her parents.
She’s more like an accessory to Mitch and Cam. Which is a shame because Lily’s scenes are some of the best moments in the show.
The one in Disney is his cool granda vibe on.😁

"I thought you and me were gonna take a little walk"
That hot me completely unexpected. Made me tear up instantly
Then " Im your dad since your 10" and "Both my sons are leaving" and now there are a fe silent tears
Samee
Right! Let's take a walk took me out! 😢
I never cry at anything but that scene got me
Maybe I'm homophobic but seeing that scene also touched me :')
From telling Mitchell that Cam was too dramatic to "Both my sons are leaving", Jay evolved so much. More love to such characters ❤❤❤
Cam is dramatic but that's why we like him 😂
Jay went from struggling to accept his sons relationship to walking him down the aisle and "both my sons" and I can't stop crying...
I love jay the most because I feel like his character is a representation of old folks accepting change. True legend in his time
How can someone perfectly nail two iconic sitcom characters who are opposite in almost everything. Ed O'Neill is such an underrated TV actor.
Who is the second character? I really wanna watch more tv shows with him
@@beegayzhan Al Bundy in Married with Children, it's an early 90's sitcom with a very, very, very different kind of humor, a lot more rounchy and sexist than Modern Family but Ed O'neal also steals the show on that one.
I feel its less they're opposite and more like he started out being the first character again and grew into a better mood understanding version

@@MadSnake123i remember that one episode with his own take on o Mcdonald and then having to catch a rabbit while referencing looney tunes (while driving Marcy crazy, too)
Gloria is the one who changed him. With his previous manipulative wife and his strict father turned him into a distant father that didn't care for his children that much. But this all changed. Gloria repeatedly told him to be more emotional and embrace his children throughout the show. She's a great woman who sticked all families together.
True, Gloria and Manny changed him and subsequently strengthened the family
Gloria was always someone who prioritized family, and Jay ended up excepting that influence
He cared for his eldest children - he just didn't know that it was OK to show it until Gloria
Jay’s relationships with his nonbiological family members will always be my favorite. it’s just so heartwarming when you get to see him appreciate Phil, accept Cam, and be a great father to Manny
And grandpa for adopted girl..
And be a great grandpa to lilly
genius decision to have lily whisper instead of be energetic
"I've been your dad since you were 10 and I'm gonna be your dad until I'm gone" Jay "El Heffe" Pritchard
*Jefe
Phils reaction on jay calling him will always be my favorite 😭😭🫶🏼
When your granddaughter says dance, you dance.
That "little walk moment" always gets my tear ducts
“both my sons r leaving” tears rolling down my face
Jay: both my sons are leaving
Cam: 🥹
Mitch: 😊
Phil: 😐
Well, cause Phil wasn't leaving
Your comment doesn't make any sense lol
@@rvhlll i don't care lol
@@Skibidi_Lulu1989 you CARED enough to reply lol
@@rvhlll I hate u lol
These clips made me verklempt. Jay really loves his family.
I dont know what verklempt means but its sound the same way i feel 😊
@@faye7042yiddish for like choked up with emotion
I've loved the Jay character since he changed up his romantic weekend with gloria to take Manny out in the limo when his dad bailed on him.❤
SAME. Always showed up
90% of being a dad is showing up
@@robertspinks9509 very true.
What your granddaughter said, is what she get
mitch and cams wedding episode had me emotional..and the scene when he said "actually I thought you and I would take a little walk" and telling cam "both my sons are leaving" gets me crying every time.! 😭
Manny brought out Jay's father instinct more than anyone.
Jay from a grumpy old man to the sweetest father, grandfather and great grandfather
Phil's screaming because he's happy Jay's calling 😊
I never had a grandad but if I got to choose it would be some one like Jay
Jay tries to hide his vulnerability but when he puts his walls down its always a treat.
the last one 🥺
Walking his son down the aisle with such a precious moment! 🥰
Phil is so precious 😢❤
So wish Modern Family was still on but I watch it in syndication over and over and over, practically 24/7 in all honesty, I just feel safe, content at ease when I do. Ed O'Neill is the complete package, I adore him like everyone on the show❤
Same! My family is so sick of hearing me say that I'm rewatching it again 😅
맞아요
시청할때마다 안정감을 느끼고 마음에 사랑이 가득차는게 느껴져서 정말 좋습니다❤
@@chailatte_ where do you watch it? Pleeeeeease tell me🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 I used to watch it on fmovies but now for some reason it doesn't have modern family on it.
@@maryamnayeemuddin9484 they have it on Disney+ where I live, but I’m not sure if it’s available everywhere 🤔 there’s probably other ways of watching it too but I’m not sure, hope you find it!
Jay dancing with Lily is the cutest🥺
Both of my sons are leaving😢
How bout I give you 50 bucks was everything
Im glad i had a grandpa so similar to jay in so many ways, but the biggest one was how much he loved his family ❤ miss you everyday papa ❤
Jay was not the step father he was the father who stepped 🤎
IM SUCH A BABY I CRY SO EASILY 😭❤
And someone starts cutting onions at the end
Dads before they have a little girl: 'I'm not doing ballet with them.'
Dads when they have a little girl:
No Jay even when your gone you’ll still be his dad 😢
Cam’s reaction is so emotional ❤❤
The one where he talks about his dad and feelings broke my heart.
My favourite character on the show. So so funny
“I thought we’d take a little walk” always gets me!
That “taking a walk” with Mitchell on his wedding day…🥹
Okay. I was not ready for the "both of my sons are leaving".
jay and stella were the best duo on the show loll
Even though Jay was harsh at time's he still loved his family ❤❤❤
The strict Phil and Soft Jay ... Surely the best part of show for me...❤
I loved his character in this show, yet hated married with children. I am so happy he was able to play such an awesome role showing his talents.
The fact that he was a tough grandpa/father but with a heart of gold who would do anything for his family was one of the biggest things in the show
Jay is a big tough softie 😍🥰🥰
Walking His so'n down the Isle... Was so heartwarming
The grandpa figure I wish I had in my life 😭
Really difficult for someone of his age to undergo so many changes!
Well written story!
Jay wad not my favourite character but i loveed how nuanced his character was, there was a tremendous character development. He realised mistakes of past and he did everything he could to tie family together
These are all my favorite Jay moments!!!! ❤❤
"Both my sons are leaving"
Made me cry all over again.😿
jay is the definition of character development and i love him for it
Jay is a great dad and grandad
When Jay says, my step dad I been your dad since you were a baby, and you are my daughter. Thank you you were my dad! Still are in my heart ALWAYS!
He truly is the best dad, a big family man.
One of thee best comedy series ever made for television 😊😂
Cam in the end😂
Al Bundy's redemption ❤
this was such a heartwarming video
Jay has his moments, but how amazing they are.
It’s 1019 on a Saturday morning I should not be in tears like this!!!😅😢😢
Jay is the daddy i didnt have :'(
I just loved the evolution of Jays character... Gloria was the main reason for that. Fav sitcom forever ❤
He's so tsundere 😂 I love him ❤
Jay had top tier character development during the run of the show.
Tears 🥲 I love Jay and the compilation! ❤
It’s nice to see he has a sweet side.
I cried so much watching the series finale, seeing those kids growing old in every season is touching
He’s my favourite character
This show is just a roller coaster of emotions. One time you're laughing and the next thing you're eyes are bawling.
The end had me in a chokehold
I legit cried so much in the last episode
Genuinely almost cried 😭😭
And the saddest story is how his father treated him.
Jay is the best character! He is a loving father.
The best character on a TV show
“Both my sons are leaving”
I aspire to be like Jay strong, loving & caring.
Ed O'Neill is a great guy. 😊❤
Jay is the antithesis of Al Bundy. Ed O'Neil is an awesome actor
My favorite character development in this show
I love Jay and Gloria
I'm not crying, you are!
He reminds me of my dad so much..a tough stern hardass who never messed around but was kind and strong. Quiet at times but also loud and commanding. Understandable and reasonable. I miss you apa.
« Estoy… aprendiendo… español para ti… sorpresa mi amor! » my favourite Jay scene.
Even though I've watched the show multiple times i still tear up at Michell and Cams wedding
Bundy still runs through though veins. ❤😂
everytime he reciprocated Phil, and mitch's feeling i always become teary
One of the greatest from the eighties to the nineties to now
Both my sons are leaving was such a beautiful ending❤
When he walked Cam down the aisle I cried
I love "come dance with me grandpa"!
“It was you I was calling” - the validation from an in-law is the best of its kind
Modern family might be the only series with no scandal and close bond between the cast
