Mick Fleetwood owns a restaurant/club in Hawaii, my daughter met Mick there and told him her dad (me) is a big fan and seen you live twice. Mick said, well, tell your dad thanks for the support, I've got some things for him... Then he gave her a Autographed Brochure/Menu and a "Got Mick" bumper sticker that has his pic on it. Both are in my music room.
Sadly, that restaurant burned down in the Maui/Lahaina fire last year. So these souvenirs mean even more.
Love this
You need to check out the live version ❤
I knew he had to be cool! Great story. They were my first concert at 12yrs old. I've seen them 6 times. I walked down the aisle to Song Bird. ❤️❤️✌️
The entire 'Rumours' album is a work of art...
Probably their best
Through all their turmoil this album won 6 Grammys in 1976
This is a masterpiece
Gold Dust Woman , The last track is my favorite." Second Hand News " is the Hidden gem here
Fleetwood Mac "Hypnotized"...Nuff Said. 🔥
One of the best selling albums of all time.
You missed "One of the Best Albums of all time!", but I get your sentiment!
Good choice. One of their more intricate songs. You can feel it building to the climax all the way through.
The twanging guitar is Lindsey Buckingham on a Dobro.
It's so nice to see younger people discovering music from our own youth.
The ending, of the pounding bass and wailing guitar, was used by the BBC as the theme to Grand Prix on the TV, that kept it in peoples minds.
The turmoil of personal anguish can be felt through the music.
Yep, they meant every word of it! Incredible song musically and lyrically.
And emotionally. Given the relationship drama.
There's a live version of this song with concert video that is a must watch. Lindsay and Stevie were not getting along and the vitriol came through it their performance... very powerful. Check it out.
You're talking about the '82 performance in Malibu on the "Mirage" tour! You could basically say that Stevie did that album and tour begrudgingly, because she had just had a taste of solo success with her own album "Bella Donna" but while she was doing her own 12 show solo tour to support the album, Lindsey was calling her every night from Paris, hounding her to get there so they could record "Mirage"! Stevie was dating Jimmy Iovine at the time, and at first, he went to Paris with her, but ended up going back to Los Angeles after only two or three days because of Lindsey!
The Definition of Harmony = this song!
This is one of two songs on Rumors where the real crux is the outro. The other is Go Your Own Way.
One of the most legendary Bass Riffs in Classic Rock history from John McVie, some fine guitar work from Lindsey Buckingham, excellent drumming from Mick Fleetwood, Christine McVie on keys and superb vocals with Stevie Nicks....all of them. Nice choice again.
Christine was also on vocals!
@@RicoCosta317 As I said.....Christine McVie on keys and superb vocals
@@AliasMark69 Totally misread that. Sorry! 🥴
@@RicoCosta317 Smile, Have a Fabulous Day

Rumours is so good from start to finish, not a bad song on it.
This was about the band not breaking up, no matter what they go through, they will never break the chain. The only song on the album that a 5 members wrote
One of my favorite Fleetwood Mac songs right here. This album, Rumours is the bands finest hour in my opinion!
I was born in January 1970 so I grew up listening to Fleetwood Mac. My mom played their music on her guitar. They were part of our musical life and I love this song.!
One of the most iconic albums..... ever.
I started watching reactions during the pandemic. At 69 I have grown to enjoy watching folks like you-those who appreciate the music of my youth-listen to and comment on the music. So many people who react don’t seem to really appreciate it, they just seem to want viewers. Just saying I am glad you are enjoying the music. Doobie Brothers, Eagles, Led Zeppelin, John Denver, Motown, CCR, a time for amazing and varied music. I like hearing what you have to say. Thanks.
JM is The Best Reactor On YT...
thier greatest album aver recorded, saw them in 1988 ay man city ground. absolutely fabulous
Rumours - One of the BEST records ever made.
I saw them do this live in the 80's twice in different shows. A big crowd favorite.
Another great song from the "Rumours" album. "The Chain" was written during the turmoil in all of their lives. Lindsay Buckingham & Stevie Nicks were ending their years long relationship, John & Christine McVie's marriage broke down, as did that of Mick Fleetwood & his wife Jenny Boyd. Their album "Rumours" (1977) is one of the best-selling albums in history. All the songs on it are great such as "Dreams", "Go Your Own Way", "Don't Stop", "You Make Loving Fun". "Second Hand News", "Gold Dust Woman" etc. Sadly Christine McVie passed away recently.
That was a death that hit me.
Yeah, another one of my favourites... by anyone. Intensity yet droning at the same time. Thanks for the reaction.
This is a great sounding song from Fleetwood Mac. This has a very unique sound. Very catchy. I’ve always loved it. It’s on the soundtrack to Guardians of the Galaxy! 😊
Maybe the "chain" is the band which they want to remain successful even though the relationship is over.🤔
Exactly.
One of my faves. RIP, Christine.
Iconic song. Iconic Band. doesn't get much better than this.
Great reaction!! 😊
I'm a Fleetwood Mac fan and recently since I've been listening to these reaction channels I'm becoming more familiar with their music. Has anyone out there ever heard of the song bleed to love her I just heard a live version from 97 and Burbank California and I love the song I played it three times in a row. Maybe one day you could react to it.
Great song! They are always worth reacting to. 🎵🎶
As you loved this then you need to check out the live version ;)
The "Rumours" album by Fleetwood Mac was #1 for 31 weeks and sold over 40,000,000 copies. One of the biggest selling albums of all time.
How do you spell legendary? It's spelled FLEETWOOD MAC!!! Such an amazing group with vocals from heaven and three different amazing songwriters in this group-Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks, and Christie McVie. Thanks for doing this one, Jarvis! Can't wait to listen to this!!!
❤Thank you!
Please listen to more Fleetwood Mac! They are truly one of the best!
well done sir.
My first concert was Fleetwood Mac.
1974 UC Santa Barbara
Blankets and lawn chairs on the grass.
This IS my favorite FM song with LB at the mic.
Some of their best work was done while their relationships were on the rocks, but no matter what, the band came first for them.
Their best, imho.
This us my favorite song on this album. They are a good band.
Probably mentioned every time this comes up. The second part from the bass solo was used as the theme tune for British TV show Top Gear
It wasn't Top Gear, it was the Formula1 coverage on BBC for about 20 years from late 70s to late 90s (then later Channel 4 for another 5-6 years, ending around 2015)... this music, with Murray Walker and fast cars on a Sunday afternoon - nothing better! 😄🏁🏁
the original studio version of 'landslide' .thats all i have to say!
Technically.. . Although a lot of people think it's all flowers and love it's actually about keeping the gravy train flowing.
I was 15 years old and heard this playing in an unlikely "head-shop/record" store in a small conservative town (the shop lasted about 3 months) weeks after it released. After the 3rd track started, the owner annoyed with my lingering asked me if I was going to buy anything.
I bought the album. My first encounter with Fleetwood Mac. Six dollars well spent.
Awesome review - you've got a great blend of education and artistic insight.
Subscribed. ...First video.
Welcome welcome!
I think you have a very good understanding of the meaning of the song.
Lindsay Buckingham can play that guitar and sing! Great tune and album! Check out Buckingham Nicks, “Frozen Love” song? Thanks
Does YT not allow the word “DAMN” now? (“Damn your love damn your lies?”) I saw FM back in the 1990’s and I a “pretty sure” the words were not “forget your love, forget your lies.”
Agreed, I have always remembered it as "damn your love, damn your lies".
It’s funny how the first half of the song is a bass line so basic and even I could play it in about 5 minutes…and then he breaks into that solo riff OMG. From there the song goes from cool, dark tinged Eagles or something, to a chilling masterpiece. Wild.
jeff porcaro on drums...!!
If I know Fleetwood Mac well I know that Jeff Porcaro did not play drums on The Chain. If I am wrong please send me a link to that fact
It wasn't the Chains kept them together, it was "The Green Manalishi!"
The blockbuster album Rumors was written and recorded during a time where both couples (Stevie Nicks/Lyndsay Buckingham and Christine McVie/Mick Fleetwood) were having serious relationship issues and many of the songs reflect that. Plus LOTS of coke going up noses, they admitted later (Thus the song Gold Dust Woman)
Christine and Mick were never a couple as far as I know. Think you meant Christine and John.
@@paulqueripel3493 thank you, yes
Mick’s restaurant in Hawaii was destroyed by the Hurricane last year and all his music memorabilia lost forever….
Black Majic woman
The pope would hit his knees hearing this album !
"I'm So Afraid" is another great song from this era...
The tempo of the music is slow!

Lindsey Buckingham is a top 5 guitar player.
Bone thugs borrowed this song lmao
Rumours' album is one of the best albums of all time.
Stevie Nick's is on stage basically calling Lindsey Buckingham a POS and he just has to take it...she's a badass
