We were there this weekend to and It was really rainy the first night and it was so fun to be there it was my first time going to cedar point I hope to go back this year
Amazing! Even better you got to go Friday the 13th. Hopefully more things open up. I'm sure it was because of the rain and being opening night that they had things closed.
Wow what a great place, it all looked amazing, thanks for sharing, all the displays looked great too, your so lucky having all these events to visit, Hope your having a great weekend 👍🤗🇬🇧🎃
Was a great time!! Loved haunts and scare zone. Unfortunately. it was super hot but beautiful! One would have thought we were there in July again vs September. One warning to all going be ready for huge crowds on Saturday's. Had platinum pass holders saying since the gold pass offer came out the park is packed. Of course they were not happy with the new large crowds & basically blaming people like me who invested in the pass. I get being upset, but don't take your anger out on me. It's Cedar Point and when we were there this past weekend it reminded me of the crowds of 15 years ago. So great job cedar fair bringing back insterest.
People should not be getting angry that people are purchasing gold passes. I think it is a smart investment if you want to go to the park more than once. Yeah, Saturdays can be off the charts busy. Last week it was very hot, I went to Kings Island for their event and it was like 90 when I got there. I thought I was back at Halloween Horror NIghts in Florida, lol. I'm glad you had a good time!
I'm going tonight. I've been twice. I've already rode everything there, but holloweekends is fun, mlm my favorite part of the park is the western area (I forgot the name) and my fav attraction is blood on the bayou
Tombstone Terrortory is the western section and I agree with you, it is an excellent area! Blood on the Bayou is excellent as well. I think my favorite house is Freak Show and Harvest Fear is my favorite scare zone, but I think all of them are great! The actors everywhere did a great job the nights I attended this year. How was your second night there?
@@toast5198 Dang really? I got there earlier in the day on Saturday and it took us 1 hour to get from the beginning of the causeway to the parking booths. I have the season pass so I didn't realize parking was free that day. Glad you enjoyed it :)
Great opening night!! Cathy and Todd spent Friday the 13th at SCarowinds and Tyler and I were at BGW Howl o scream!! Glad everyone had great times! 🕸️🎃🕷️👻 ~Dawn
I'm going to check those videos out right now :). Those are two events I was thinking about trying to get out to but I'm not sure if I will be able to this season. I'm trying to get back down to HHN the last week of October because my kids really want to go to it again this year.
@@AdventureModeTraveling I had a live stream fri night but you know how the quality of those are .. working on vlog and should be out this week we hope. Will be at HHN last week, if you go keep us posted! ~Dawn
@@AdventureModeTraveling yea, sunday was packed but not that packed if u know what i mean. I had good chances to go on the rides cause almost all of them were empty :} the haunted houeses were fun tho.
You are in fine form! I am laughing so hard at your commentary, hilarious :D I hadn't heard of Cedar Point, where is it exactly? It's really cool looking! Love when the characters come out, really cool Victorian looking ghoulies. Great video guys, a total blast!
Thank you! It is located in Sandusky, Ohio right on Lake Eerie. It is a fun park for sure. I usually make the long drive to it a few times during their regular season and at least once for their Halloweekends event :)
@@AdventureModeTraveling thanks for the upload I'll probably go to this video every halloween to reminisce. I love the atmosphere there. The smell of the food being made. The fog smoke they use. The trains coal burning everything
I filmed the stage but didn't get to film any of the actual show because the times I was around the saloon while the show was happening it was so crowded I couldn't even get in the saloon.
Too bad that night sucked and no rides were running. Saturday sucked too. Way too many people It took me 2 and a half hours to get on the Dragster! Last year Halloweekends was way better. Early entry you could ride on any ride. This year they only had like 5 to choose from and Friday night they kept breaking down even before the storm rolled in. It was the most ridiculous Cedar Point trip I've made to date and I've always loved Cedar Point!
They need to do a better job next year for sure, this whole year was a bit lackluster. They can't roll out all the same houses and zones for next year and think that is going to be acceptable. They really need to go all out for 150.
@@AdventureModeTraveling They did have some different scare zones this year from last year, but it wasn't that big of a change. They definitely need to do a better job. This year was definitely lack luster from last year. They did a way better job accommodating everyone last year.
Yes, I do. You can purchase a necklace that lights up for $10 and if you have that necklace on the actors leave you alone. Plus, you all of the scare zone areas are in the back of the park so you have access to the entire front half without having to worry about scare actors.
I'm going this weekend! I'm very excited! Based on your experience and with me being an avid horror enthusiast (I've seen quite a lot of horror films and visited some haunted houses) how would rate the scariness of the haunt attractions? 1 - 10 would be a good base for it! Regardless if they're scary or not, I'm most definitely looking forward to my first experience at cedar point being Halloweekends!
@@its_meena66 I would say the fright level is very comparable to Kings Island. The houses are a similar style for sure. It is hard for me to rate any haunt for scare level because I have owned/operated a haunt myself for over 15 years so unfortunately I don't get scared in any attraction and I have been to lots of them. I can usually tell where the scares are going to come from and unless the props/gags are custom built I have seen them at our tradeshow. I enjoyed the houses here and jumped a few times if that helps. Also, I thought the actors did a great job in all of the houses :).
@@AdventureModeTraveling Cool! I understand the difficulty with ranking them. Especially since everyone has different tolerances to it! I am definitely looking forward to it regardless! I leave tomorrow morning! (:
I believe they are all open on Saturday. They do run limited rides on Fridays, however. Here are the rides that are NOT open on Fridays: Antique Cars Camp Spooky Cedar Point & Lake Erie Railroad Corkscrew Gemini Giant Wheel Iron Dragon Power Tower Professor Delbert's Frontier Fling Rougarou Sky Ride Skyhawk Super Himalaya Top Thrill Dragster Troika Wicked Twister WindSeeker Hope that helps :)
I love Cedar Point, but I have to say that I was disappointed with the rock show in the Bone Yard area. It was like a mosh pit with tawdry dancers that were more like strippers!! Very poor selection for families with kiddos...it should have been put in a more private area with a mature warning in place or shown after 9pm.
I agree with you on the Boneyard area. It was a cool idea to have and the props looked good but I really think Cedar Point should have put a bypass to get around that area. There were way to many people pushing and shoving in that area and it was VERY difficult to move through the area. I thought it was poorly laid out with the multiple stages having stuff going on at the same time. The couple of times I tried to walk through it was too crowded for me to even see what was going on around. I had my camera out out and over my head filming as I walked but it was all I could do to push through the crowds. My wife did say they had dancers that were dancing very similar to the dancers in the Rob Zombie zone at Universal. If that is the case, I definitely could see people having an issue with it because Cedar Point is advertised as a family friendly event. Seems like a poor decision on their part. HHN at Universal is geared more towards adults so it is different doing it at that park. I'll have to look at my Saturday footage and see if I captured any footage of the performers. I think it is ok Cedar Point wants to do something like that at the event but they really can't have it where it is, it needs to be off to the side so families don't have to deal with it.
Thanks so much for posting this we scare actors really appreciate the compliments!
The scare actors make the event for sure :)
