    Im so excited for the JSON video for Max MSP coming. I would love to see how to hook up a switch, button, fader, knob, (analog vs digital inputs) etc. and even use i2c ports. I guess just an entire "Inputs" video for Max MSP in gen~ would be wonderful. Again, congrats on being picked up by Electrosmith, brother.

    Hello, I think it is very very (veryyyyy) crucial to make a simple tutorial to just plug a potentiometer to the breadboard and make it correctly control anything on the patch. I struggle doing it reading everything on forums trying to make my own json. But even with the pod I think it is very important for your platform to show people what to write on the param of the gen~ to make the knob control things.

    Great video! I sort of gave up trying to use my daisy seed because I simply couldn't get an LED screen to work! (The one used with an Ornament and Crime). I'd be so grateful if you could do a tutorial about how you got that screen from the beginning of the video to work? And how to use it in conjunction with PD? (live display of waveforms and/or text readouts?) Thanks!

    Due to there not being a video on how to set up the daisy seed with the custom json file you won't get any further here on youtube. In the comments below it says there's a whole thread for it over on the discord channel but the link doesn't work, I also couldn't find anything on the forums. I'm basically trying to get a simple sine wave to output from the daisy seed that's got an audio output jack, the simplest hello world with no knobs or buttons.

    A GREAT idea for a video: use the oopsy_pod template in Max and step-by-step show what all the elements in that patcher do and how to use this template. All I get are feedback, a whine, and a bunch of hiss. I'm learning how to use Pd, Plugdata, Arduino IDE, and Max 8, but it would help GREATLY to go through oopsy_pod template for all us newbies. Please

      Pod is a great reference for learning about Daisy I/O for sure. Even if you have Daisy Seed for example! Quick overview videos for each board would be a great resource to have!

      @@electrosmithco If this is Takumi, thank you sensei :} I feel a bit frazzled trying to put all the various elements (learning Pd/Max/Arduino) together. I admit I was a bit disappointed that there is no Quick Start or any Docs at all on the Pod. There is a ton of info on the Daisy environment in the wiki but it's like living in National Treasure trying to piece it all together! Even an 'intro' video on using the Pod with Max/oopsy and explaining the pod template in detail would help tremendously.

    • @electrosmithco
      @electrosmithco Рік тому

      @@bonaventura_AKA_ben Yep, it's Takumi! I read your feedback on the forum as well. I appreciate your input. One thing that'll help in general for you to consider is that Daisy Pod is an extension of the Daisy Seed. Pod is pretty much Seed with a breakout board that has potentiometers, switches, and etc. So all those general tutorials can be applied to Pod and other target boards.
      That being said, yes, there should be a starting guide doc and video for oopsy and hardware. Stay tuned!

    to get started with this setup do I need an unsoldered or soldered daisy?

    • @electrosmithco
      @electrosmithco 16 днів тому +1

      Just for blinking the onboard LED like in this video, you can get the unsoldered Daisy Seed and start right away.
      But once you start making sounds, you're going to want to solder header pins to the Daisy if you do end up buying the unsoldered version. This tutorial (ua-cam.com/video/He9yUlpQ9B8/v-deo.html) will give you an idea as to how a soldered Seed is used for outputting sound out of an audio jack.
