I always wondered why people spend so much time making sure green things around their houses are the same length. I think i'd rather have a field of trees instead of a field of grass. Just personal preference. Since you are high up on a hill, you may need to water your trees for several years to make sure they get a large enough root system to survive. (if you put new trees in)

Wouldn’t you be better off with real ear protection if that’s a concern? I wouldn’t think the AirPods prevent the high sound pressure levels from getting to your ears even though you can’t “hear” it.
