So I'm actually not worried...well, as long as Hojlund stays fit. Hojlund was a frustrated figure last season, but when he went on that scoring run, it's like he figured out that if he wanted to score, he wasn't going to be able to rely on his wingers and would have to create chances for himself. He was feeding off scraps and turned those scraps into goals. The number of chances created for Hojlund were low but his chance conversation rate was insanely good. This season we've actually created chances for the striker. Unfortunately the striker has been Zirkzee, who's a good player but doesn't have Hojlund's goal scoring ability. Think of the chances Zirkzee has missed this season and imagine that it was Hojlund in those positions. Does anyone think Hojlund wouldn't have put away even some of those chances? If Hojlund had started the season I think we'd be much closer to the position in the league our xG suggests we should be than we are. So if we can keep up the number of chances we've been creating and can keep Hojlund fit, I can see him getting at least 20 goals this season. 20 in the league is probably too much to ask given his late start to the season but 20 in all comps is certainly doable and I'd expect Garnacho to be aiming for similar numbers given his scoring record so far (needs to learn when to shoot and when to pass but 15-20 goals in all competitions shouldn't be beyond him given that he's got 5 before the end of October).
I think hoijland has proven he's pretty clinical when given the opportunity. We do need to play to his game and feed him more chances. As proven by the garnacho stat on proving assists.

This is exactly the reason why we should have got Kane Tony or Osimhen. Hojlund needs a proven striker in the squad to teach him these things. RVN could be the greatest coach on earth, but he can't be on the pitch alongside him.
Rashford should be on atleast 3/4 assists if Hojlund, Zirkzee and Garnacho could finish. Garnacho has been incredibly wasteful in front of goal. With how many shots he is taken he should have atleast 5 PL goals, if he could finish.

End of last season and in pre season Hoijlund finally showed strikers instinct, that is, when he receives the ball, his one thought is how to make space and take a shot before the ball gets to him. Top strikers make their own chances on top of assists.

Even when we had Cole, loads of other players scored plenty. It was only when we had RVN, RVP, one season with Ronaldo and one season with Rooney when one player utterly dominated the scoring.
The Antony signing was baffling. At the time, we had Sancho, Greenwood and Rashford in the first team, plus Amad, Garnacho and Elanga very close to breaking into the first team. Obviously Sancho and Greenwood ended up being problems but that wasn't the case when we signed Antony. We must have thought he was better than the other options and I can only imagine Ten Hag was the one who suggested as much.
When Antony has featured this season he’s been decent I hope he gets given a fair chance to try and fight for his spot…. Just get him doing a serious amount of extras with RH and Ruud

Rashford lost a yard of pace last season, Ten Hag is clearly using him as a player more involved in the build up. When Rashford starts on the left, Diallo is playing higher than he used to. When Garnacho starts on the left, Rashford is asked to play make from the right rather than just going in behind. It's been a great decision from Ten Hag so for those who haven't noticed it yet, watch the next couple of games closer.

Rashford is not a top player so he isn't United class. We will win nothing of significance i.e the champions league or premier league with him as a leader and starting player in our squad.

@@seriouslee7762 if you understood football in the slightest you would realise that nunez makes chances out of nothing but misses a lot of low xG chances because he just shoots (which is far better than fumbling over the ball unable to get a shot off like hojlund)
hojlund on the other hand cant make space or shots because his movement and anticipation are bottom tier.
both have the lowest big chance conversion in the league last season, hojlund only shoots with big chances so his s% is the same as his big chance conversion %.

Rashford is not a top player so he isn't United class. We will win nothing of significance i.e the champions league or premier league with him as a leader and starting player in our squad.
