One thing I love about TMM uploading this is it really shows that even when broken character if you have really good defense you can win. Most content creators wouldn't upload something like this
his hair alone nerfed his popularity. design speaks a lot to why characters are picked and yes you could get his old hair style as a default but they should have just gave him tekken 4 hair not this karen bs. he still does mad damage with death fist. however instead of 2 to 3 death fists you now need 4 to 5.
The thing is he reacts to it, you can see him ducking almost every time, it's just hard to switch from duck to hopkick because Yoshis hellsweep is unblockable. You can see him adjusting and starting to punish with hopkick in later rounds. I just think an unblockable low is just bad design even if it's reactable, it's like giving King a throw that you break by hitting the kick buttons instead of punches.
@@keepmyheat yeah, that little purple smoke coming out is supposed to tell you it's an unblockable but Tekken 8 is so full of particle effects that people don't even pay attention to it. In Tekken 7 you could almost always tell "oh its an unblockable" because of the sparks coming out
Man this guys reactions were insane. I've always wanted to program my muscle memory to hop kick instead of block when i see the lows, but so much muscle memory over the years always make me just hit d/b. Whenever I hop kick a low its off of prediction never reaction.
When people say you dont need deffense they mean the average player can now reach higher ranks because he doesnt have to deffend. And thats completely correct. Completely. I have 36 deffense and I am fucking Bushin Feng..

Most characters can be played so fucking aggresive you will win most of your matches. Almost nobody has good deffense but everyone is good at offense. So just steam roll your way to blue ranks. It shuldnt beat hopkicks - that kick must have been a high. It does high crush but if your char has a 15f mid hopkick, that should be more than enough to beat it.
i miss this type of tekken. heavy neutral, blocking, trying to figure out what your opponent is going to do, opening them up thru movement, etc. i miss defense.
Tbh that still is tekken. It's just way too sweaty to be this paul. Most tekken players are casual. Hard-core gamers on the other hand like to be learning about every mechanics. I didn't mind 7 but ranked felt way too sweaty with God like people playing

Someone please tell me why Yoshi has over 25 counter hit launchers in this game - alongside an unblockable low launch, a nss low launch, a full crouch mix up, evasive 15f neutral launchers, strong keep out tools, oppressive wall pressure and oki, a heat smash that hits grounded, spin to win, flash, and health regeneration? Can someone explain this to me, please?
He historically has been one of the characters with the biggest movement list, and been added new ones in the past few games, but they forgot to balance him that is why he is one of the strongest characters in the game

Having good defense in tekken 8 is what makes you a top player. That doesn't mean defense is not still harder in this game than any other tekken.

I’m a Yoshi main and Paul is always the most difficult match up because i need a thousand hits while he only needs three hits
