We have had two Rios, Two Fortes and now, a Cadenza. The kids still prefer Rio for driving downtown. Our Forte SX's were very well equipped compared to the Rio, but that now seems to be equalized.
Yeah, as recently as a few weeks ago, if people asked my honest opinion, I would steer people from the Rio to the Forte, not because the Rio was bad, but because the Forte was so good. The tweaks that they made to the Rio make it a really solid option for people looking for a very well equipped small car. It's a great value once again!
I am currently operating a 2017 Forte white exterior. My wife has a 2016 model. It is currently in the shop for a steering column repair. We are driving a 2020 Forte loaner car and I am very impressed on its performance and comfort. I am thinking hard to up grading to a used 2021 model or a new 2022. White is my favorite exterior color on these cars. I hope my shopping dream comes true.
I bought a 2020 Kia Forte LXS about five months ago. I can't find out what kind of oil to use in it. The dealer has changed the oil twice and they brush me off when I ask them. And I can't find it in my manual. Should I use synthetic blend or Full Synthetic or the old type just regular oil? Awesome video I always watch your videos and look forward to the new video. Thank you for sharing them. Stay well & safe out there.
The Forte uses 5w 20 oil. It does not require synthetic. I'm sorry that you're brushed off. That's pretty basic information for them to provide you with. I hope that helps!
@@BrantfordKia What kind of oil does it require? Thank you for responding to my post. I started watching your videos before I purchased my Kia. You helped me decide to buy the Forte. I like the car very much. My girlfriend is going to buy a 2021 this summer. I truly wish the best for you.
haha brantford kia needs a tv in the office and customer areas; that way everyone can see a live stream of you and when not live, it will play a shuffle of videos from your library :D wow you've had a lot of motor vehicles over your lifetime pretty awesome! we need to see a full size phev pick up truck somewhere out there soon!
Haha! We played my videos on a loop before in the showroom, but my co-workers and myself see enough of me! We don't need more! And yes, a PHEV pick-up would be great!! I could drive an EV to work, and still take my camping trailer on roadtrips across the country the same way I do now. That would be a perfect car for today!
A modern Rio is better than a regular car from 15 years ago. You could easily drive this as far as you wanted. A lot of people thing that small cars are only for the city, and that's just not true when it comes to something like the Rio.
To all the people that live in the us the 2021 Kia Rio s technology packagewill have push button to start and heated seats and power mirrors and alloy wheels etc and the lx will probably have a optional 6spd manual and the s trim will be the same thing
Greetings! I'm trading in my 2013 Rio LX+ for my first hybrid - 2020 Niro EX Premium (HEV). Trying to understand how far/fast the electric motor can run before the engine kicks in. Could I theoretically run on electric alone in a downtown setting (assuming without running the AC/Heat activated)? EDIT: Great demo on the Rio BTW. (I'm gonna miss mine.)
In warm temperature, dry level paved road, not windy, battery charged up, I have cruised along for a few minutes at around 80 - 85 km/h with my 2019 Niro SX Touring (wider tires than yours). You should do better than that, but it doesn't matter, just drive and let it do it's thing and you'll save money in the long run, as long as you don't flip the shifter over to sport mode.
@@marioparent8232 definitely over 40km/h. 80 or so sounds reasonable. I haven't got the specs in front of me, but the previous commenters words echo my personal experience for sure.

Nice! Yeah, I'm a big fan of the Forte. If you get the chance, check out the 2022 as well. It's had some nice upgrades that you may appreciate!
Was your 40th like, sorry not getting 40 during the live video. Have a great weekend
No worries! Thanks for watching!

Can Rio be driven in long road trips because what I read people only say the Rio is good for city driving

It does on the EX Premium model.

They're basically the same, one just cost more. To me
They're a lot different, but one is usually more right for someone than the other.
