I still have my Passport. It was an awesome phone in its day. I wiped it before the servers went down but kept my Z30 as is. BBM is still loaded in the cache! I accidentally let the Z30 battery die and was horrified that I’d lost the last BBM conversations (outside of BBM Enterprise). Thankfully they were still there when I charged the phone. Good memories. The poor BlackBerry engineer who had to pull the plug was giving us a play by play as things were shut down. Lots of drinking over BBM that night. 😢
I love BlackBerry especially the keyboard made it so easy compared to to typing on the screen 😭 I nearly bought the Passport but didn't want to spend the steep price tag. The configuration of BlackBerry setting servers was a it annoying which means you could only use from their system which I understand for exclusivity but unfortunately that's what 'killed' the brand eventually. Perhaps, if they tried to open like adapting to like the Android version they might still have been around?
This thing is like 10 years old and it's still performing very well. I had BlackBerry Z10, the BlackBerry OS 10 was the best operating system ever made. ANDROID is almost catching it now 10 years later while IOS is a total trash. I want new phones with BB OS 10.
BlackBerry claimed to be a software company now. You'd think they would have had the skills to make an up to date browser for bb10. That's all people needed.

They got a head start on a phone that can do e-mail but the phone became so much more than just e-mail and that's why they lost.

BB10's UI design was miles ahead, and the software integration was incredible. The Hub is still the best notification manager on any smartphone OS, period, and it's tragic that such deep API hooks don't happen with the competition the way it did with BB10. Even trying with the Priv and on, Blackberry couldn't reproduce that on Android. At this point, Sailfish is the only other good alternative out there, and unlike Blackberry, you need to put that on a phone yourself. Actually, you might look into that next. Get yourself an Xperia 10 and chuck Sailfish OS on there, see how you ride. It can run actually supported Android apps! -Never mind that you need to pay Jolla a 50€ for that, it's good fun-

I had one of these, back when it released. Man, I loved the HELL out of it. Such an awesome phone. I entered the Blackberry party really late, 2015 being my first year of buying one. Instantly fell in love with the keyboard. A shame Blackberry killed itself with bad management.
The BB Key 2 and also the BB Motion are great phones, even though they were made by TCL. They still have a lot of Blackberry to them... like the Hub, the various flashing LED colors depending on texts, various email account, messenger, etc.
I'm living in Vietnam. I have a Bold 9900 and a Classic Q20, both in perfect condition. Bold 9900 represents BBOS 7 and Q20 for BBOS10. BBOS 7 is better in my opinion, it's smarter in some cases and has absolutely no delay in basic tasks

I feel the same way about my Xperia XZs as Sam does about his BlackBerries, sometimes you just want a good old design with updated specs / software support rather than some fancy looking new phone.

I've come to terms that nobody will make my idea of a dream phone and the closest things to it will cost over $1000 anyway, so I'll just have to settle on keeping around 2 or 3 different phones for different purposes, it's annoying but manageable.
Yeah. I bought the iPhone 12 Pro when it came out because the iPhone 4S was my first smartphone. I wanted the stainless steel and square sides. Now if they would just offer it with the brushed stainless steel that aged beautifully (like Steve Jobs said) rather than this mirror polish that gets micro scratches and shows every smudge and fingerprint to where it will look like crap 5 seconds after you clean it.
Xperia was great too. My first smartphone was Xperia Ray and it was great back in the day. Sadly BlackBerry Sony HTC LG are dead. They were true pioneers back in the day. At least Motorola is still around.

As a native Romanian, that lives and speaks the language every day, I can not translate whatever was said on the radio 102.5(Radio Romania Actualitati). However, I listen to the radio if I am in a car that doesn't allow you to play music over the speakers, and I need to listen to it.
I still have mine, I kept it because I love the form factor of it. When all it's services and what not were running, it was a great phone. I kept most of my blackberries actually. Got a pearl, Z30, Passport and KeyTwo. My Blackberry Torch snapped, so I couldn't really keep that. Using a Samsung S22 Ultra now, but kept those for the memories lol I still still BlackBerry 10 was an amazing operating system that the others (andoid and iOS) are now taking features from blackberry 10 to use themselves. Like the swipe gestures.
That phone will outlast latest iPhones or androids … I still have the passport and the built quality bus amazing,,, the best hardware quality of al time honestly…
After the Android leaked for it I kept mine for a bit too long waiting patiently for somebody from XDA to cook a proper Android Ron for it but it never happened so finally sold it last year. Surprisingly it's still over a hundred quid for a boxed unit.

Well BlackBerry was truly legendary and a real status symbol back in the day. Sadly they could not survive in the Android iOS world. Just mismanaged iconic brand. Passport was not bad and the Priv and Key 2 were amazing. They should have released another BlackBerry.
I was hoping for a Passport 2, that runs the latest Android OS. The KeyTwo was good, but I just loved the dimensions of the passport. For a guy with bigger hands, the wider phone was awesome.
I was a hardcore bb user... last one I had was this blackberry. Loved it back then- The screen was ahead of its time but everything else became dated by 2017. Never tried the new android versions though... too pricey for what it is.
Yeah I loved the BB10 OS sad that it went under I tried the BB Priv but it ended up shitting itself still have my Z10 and BB Passport still work just not much works on them hahaha still have music and photos on them check out the Unihertz Titan probably the closest thing to the BB Passport that uses android has most the same swipe functions and trackpad keyboard I'm thinking about getting one.

Evernote syncs fine, actually. BB servers are not required for that. Telegram - depends on the version. Kindle is OK. Hub is functional.
