  • In this video, I share practical information about traveling to Seychelles. I cover travel itinerary tips for Mahe, Praslin, and La Digue. I share my favorite beaches and spots to see around the islands and give a rough estimate of the number of days you should spend on each island.
    I have tried to summarize all the recommendations I wish I knew before I went to Seychelles.

    I have been to Seychelles 3 times and what I do is stay in Praslin for 3-4 day including a day trip to La Digue and spend 3 days in Mahe. Never take the ferry ride from Mahe to Praslin as many get seasick. I always went in July and yes hire a car in Mahe and Praslin

      @@TravelRoads In addition to that, I would take the 15 to 20 minutes return flight from Mahe to Praslin - might be a bit more expensive but not by much compared to the ferry ride when you face choppy seas

    Most important information for Europeans: don't freak out and give the hotel staff a hard time when you see a little lizard in your room, on your patio, or generally around the resort. The lizards are beneficial to you -- they feast on mosquitos and serve a positive purpose. More environmentally friendly than mosquito coils and other chemicals.

    Thanks so much for doing this video. You’ve got me so excited and given me some amazing tips. I’m going solo and on a budget. Can you please advise how much on average I’ll need for meals?

      Hi Gail. You are going to LOVE Seychelles!
      You will need a good $30-$40 a day for food. And if you decide to do nicer restaurants and have drinks, the number will go up. Here is a topical menu with the prices: surfers-beach-restaurant.business.site/?
      You can rent a place with a small kitchen and cook meals at home, that would be a cheaper option :)

    Hello and thanks for this video. If you only had to chose one island to stay in (and make day trips to the others) which would it be? We cannot decide :))

      Hi Stefana,
      It depends on what you love doing. If you like exploring by car: stay in Praslin or Mahe (my personal preference is Praslin). If you’d rather be by foot/bicycle stay in La Digue.
      I’d say Praslin would be my personal preference overall. You can do lots of different day trips from this island (including to La Digue).
      Mahe is a bigger island, it’s beautiful and there are great beaches, but I think Praslin will give you more to see and do + day trips. :)

    Thanks for fabulous video! Would you the islands are safe for solo female travel? I’ve heard about the drug epidemic and am a bit scared because of that.

      Thanks for watching this video and for your support! From my experience, Seychelles is a safe destination to travel solo. I was there with my boyfriend, so I did not experience the country by myself. Having Mike drive on the crazy narrow roads (on the left) was of big help, not sure I would have done it by myself. That's the only hurdle traveling solo in Seychelles, you need to be comfortable driving on the left or you will need to book organized tours to see remote parts of Mahe and Praslin. There are local buses, but it's a slow way of getting around.

    Which phone SIM card has best connectivity. Can I ride the public transport bus with a air cabin suitcase?

      Sorry, I don't remember which SIM card we used during our trip. I don't remember having too many choices anyways. You can ride the bus with a suitcase.

    Is there no issue with parking if you get a car on Mahe?

      We booked an airb&b with parking in front. Visiting the island, we were able to find street parking most of the time and did not have any issues. The parking situation is not always the best, but it's doable.

      I was not solo on this trip but would feel perfectly safe traveling by myself to Seychelles. The people in this country are lovely and very helpful.

      Oh.. a really tough question, T Dubb! :)
      Both islands are beautiful and have wonderful beaches.
      I think I would pick Praslin over Mahe. Because I really enjoyed touring the parks there and learning about the coco de mer palm. I loved going to some of the nearby islands as well and seeing the giant tortoises.
      Mahe is bigger and has more places you can explore, but I liked the quietness and charm of Praslin better. It also felt easier to organize day trips from Praslin. There’s plenty to do and great snorkeling spots around the island.
      Winner for me: Praslin!

    Sorry could I have more information, my wife and I would like to go in Seychelles on November and I would to know how to go in your country now with the corona issue, we are vaccinated but I’ve read that assurance We need ? Do you have an answer thank ?

      Hi, I am not currently in Seychelles and do not have updated covid information. You should get in touch with a local travel agency to discuss your plans.

      The seychelles welcomes everyone, vaccinated or none vaccinated. You will have to have a negative pcr test, max 72h, before entering the country. This applies to all passengers, vaccinated or none vaccinated. You will have to fill in a travel authorization and apply for entry to the country a day before your travel. Processing time for application can take up to 9h. There's always information regarding what documents to bring and/or attach in the application on the airlines website or Seychelles government websites.

    Сериозна, красива и умна жена да се държи като момичемце. Казвам го защото сравнявам с клиповете от Южна Америка, където с нежно гласче, два пъти по-малко информация и по-бавно говорене нещата бяха чудесни.
    Мъжа до тебе не ни интересува особено, гледаме те защото искаме да сме там с теб .

      Здравей! Благодаря за обратната връзка. Много полезно. Това е нов стил видео с което искам да експериментирам. 
Струва ми се че на хората хич не им е интересно да гледат видеа от мойта гледна точка и може би биха предпочели някаква информация за дестинацията. Видеото е накъсано за да тече по-бързо (short attention span) хаха :D. Но явно не се допада. Ouch. Снимала съм още 4-5 подобни видеа в Тайланд. Още ги обработвам, но ще ми е интересно да чуя мнението ти когато ги пусна.
      Благодаря за отделеното време да гледаш мои видеа и още повече благодаря за коментара. М/у другото, този канал го има и на Български - ако предпочиташ.

      @@TravelRoads това изцяло е мое мнение , вероятно доста по-младички и неориентирани хора ще харесат "short attention span" говорене. Всичко е до дълбочина на мисловния процес. Според мен представената информация може да бъде разтеглена в два пъти по-дълъг клип и много повече видео детайли. Дори мисля ,че вече имаш такъв, там където представяш онези уникални дървета с огромни плодове. Гледал съм това видео преди месеци ,благодарение на ритмичното говорене и сцени със самите дървета е останало нещо в спомените ми.
      Имаш перфектен английски, добре подбрана информация и явно експериментираш с презентирането. Мисля ,че не трябва да спираш . Следя твойте клипове от Сарасота и наистина виждам развитие. Въпрос на време е да намериш работещ баланс.
      Знам как да те намеря в социалните мрежи, но дали други знаят :). При тях има различни видове маркетинг на които аз лично съм любител, ако се фокусираш и в тази посока мисля ,че твоето съдържание с много добра основа за нови хоризонти.
      Аз лично гледам клипове на български единствено свързани с нашата природа, култура, история и политика. Който не знае език , не мисля, че притежава достатъчно широк светоглед за да оправдае вложените в него усилия , пък дори и само в няколко клипчета.
