How wonderful to see a capsule wardrobe that isn't blue, black, and grey! Your choices are beautiful. I struggle with my weight; up and down and up and down.......Shirts are fine, but I keep multiple sizes of bottoms. Thank you for sharing your great ideas.
My mother was the same type as your girlfriend. She loved to buy "ensembles". From head to toe it consisted of pieces which matched only this ensemble. I always found that unnatural. And dreamed of interchangeable clothes. And that is what I strive for today. Good fashion videos help me with this task. As some other women wrote already, you show how several colours, even patterns can be part of the capsule wardrobe. That came as a surprise, but was convincing. So your pink items don't exude any gaudiness. They are fresh, summery and tasteful. .... thanks and compliments from Germany!
Love your colour choices, all my favourites too, and the blouse you're wearing is perfect. It's the neckline that suits me best. Such a pity it's taken me nearly 70 years to realise but better late than never 😂. I really need to cull my wardrobe and your video just makes so much sense. Thank you x Forgot to say I love how even the label in the navy padded jacket colour co-ordinates 👍
Just came across your channel Nancy. My goodness thank you for showing a capsule wardrobe with colour...I am so bored of seeing boring neutral stuff. I am re discovering my 50 something preppy style. At 57 I finally know what I like.
I'm so happy you discovered me, Joanne, I've got a lot more fashion tips and colorful capsule wardrobe videos coming. Let me know if there is something specific you'd like me to cover! 😀
Nancy, this is one of my favorite videos you have made. I would love to see more of your faboulous, inspirational Lilly Pulitzer try ons. You look so wonderful in the Lilly colors and I always admire what you put together.
Hello! I am very happy I discovered your channel...what a wonderful idea to have a capsule wardrobe concept. It is stylish yet makes getting dressed less stressful! You have a very elegant presence and make these combos look effortless! My biggest obstacle is downsizing existing clothes as I have a very hard time letting go...even though I'm not wearing the items anymore. Thank you for your kind guidance and for sharing your tips.
Hi Maureen, I'm so glad you discovered me! I am happy to help with your problem of downsizing - I have lots of videos and helpful tips to let go of clothes that aren't benefitting you any longer. 😀
That shirt though…….YESSSSSSS! Looks ravishing on you ❤ thank you for helping us at home embrace color. I love bright cherry colors but get discouraged from my beige friends. 😅welcome to outback Indiana, 🙄🙄🙄
I am so glad that I found your channel and found that my capsule pieces don't have to be all boring beige, navy and black! Your colour preferences are mine also, and I really love how you put pieces together. I thought it interesting that the dangly earrings were green - I would have been looking for something in blue or pink, probably - but I can see how the green would give an interesting contrast and unpredictability to your outfits, and show that you have natural flair, something I am striving towards.
Hi Jo, I'm thrilled you discovered me and that you like the color options and contrast. I'll be doing more videos on how to choose colors and put outfits together so stay tuned! 😀
Wow this is the ultimate capsule wardrobe hack! It's so amazing to see a completely cohesive color palette bc everything is all from one brand! What a win!!!
One neutral that might be unexpected, but works well, olive green. Turquoise, blue and green, just about every color looks well with olive green background!
I love all of your suggestions & information. Your love & loyalty to your style is a great inspiration to all of us. My 2 styles all my life was either work or jeans. I road horses in earlier years and jeans were a must & they just stuck. So after much watching you & Marie-Anne and not much luck on finding my personal style (I am getting closer) I decided to sign up for Stitch-Fix so that someone else picks out something that I would never pick out for myself. We'll see how it goes, because I apparently don't know how to shop for myself. Thank you for all your time & energy. It's paying off. Bless you. ❤️
Some of most loved happy pieces are Lilly Pullitzer and also Talbots! I find staying with the same brand makes it easier to coordinate the pieces I have!
Great video! One reason your pieces work so well together is that they are all from the same brand and therefore practically designed to be mixed and matched. I have yet to find that brand for myself.
Hi Alina, Thanks for your message! Yes, I do tend to stick with a few brands and then I can easily mix and match them. I think the biggest question is...what is your style? Do you like classic, bohemian, romantic, etc. Once you identify your style it makes it much easier to align with a few brands and shop from them. Also, what are your favorite colors? What colors do you look good in? Only focus on those colors. Doing this will help you buy pieces that mix and match rather than one-offs that are difficult to put with other pieces in your wardrobe. 😀
LOVE this video! Every other capsule wardrobe video I’ve seen has been so blah-gray, brown, khaki, black. Dull, dull, dull! I absolutely love color, & I could happily show up at your apartment & just steal that rack of clothes. :). Thanks for the video. I also love LP, though I don’t own any of her items.
I love the colors you chose, a lot of them are my favorite colors too. I even think you could wear the white top with the white skort with your beautiful gold belt and gold sandals.
So nice to see a wardrobe of color, most capsule wardrobes shown are all neutrals and make me feel I'm choosing all the wrong items when buying clothing. I love color!
Fantastic- finally somebody who loves colors as well. In the past I felt so ashamed to go for pink/magenta and all the bright colors. Recently I got more comfortable with my taste and with this video I am eager to become even more true to myself. Maybe I should move to California… (I live in Switzerland) I could integrate your choice nearly 1:1 into my wardrobe 👍😎🤩
Hi there. Can you please tell me what colour pallet you wear? Spring, Summer, Winter. I think I’m a winter but have just found your channel and absolutely love your clothing choices.
I love this LP capsule wardrobe! I recently rediscovered LP and fell in love. 🥰 I didn't like her things when I was younger, but lately, I just really adore them all. 💕 I'm working on my goal weight before I start mine, and then I'll have to go slow as her prices can be higher than I'm used to spending. I take it her line has quality craftmanship??
Hi Criss, Yes, I love the quality of Lilly Pulitzer clothes. What I really like the most is that they are classic styles that will still be relevant for years to come. So, even though you are spending a bit more on the clothes, they are an investment that won't go out of style in six months. I recently lost a lot of weight (60 pounds) and wearing Lilly was a big motivator for me as well! I started with leggings rstyle.me/+NHuSTAeOyB66XKoMzHXEeA and a half-zip rstyle.me/+uRM5Rvmqzk0L7V1iXSuknw that I could wear and feel "Lilly" and as I lost weight I moved into more pieces in the rest of my wardrobe. Perhaps I need to do a video on that since after chatting with you, I realize I'm not the only one on that journey! 😀
Hi Lynn, You can use various brands, however, I find it easiest when you stick with 2 or 3 favorite brands because then the clothes will work together effortlessly.
Hi! I totally love wearing color but I have so many different colors that I get overwhelmed. Should I choose 35 pieces that go together and then rotate to other pieces after time? How often should I rotate them? I live in Southern California, too, so I can basically wear all of my closet all year long. Thanks for your help!
Hi Ewe Ewe Yarns, this is a great question! I actually have a video coming out on this topic so stay tuned. But in the meantime, the key is to identify which pieces are your "basics" the ones that go with almost anything in your closet. If you isolate items, it will make it easier for you to decide which pieces you want to add to that collection to create your capsule.
I just found your channel and almost passed it by b/c your style is very much different than mine. I'm SOOO glad I clicked though! You have excellent advice and your style suits you SO well. I knew right away who your style icon is!
I really love Lilly Pulitzer. I wish they made skirts and dresses that go to the knee, I am over 50 and don't want to wear anything above my knee cap. No sleeveless either!
Hi Vintage G, you're in for some good news 😍 - Lilly makes lots of tea length/midi, and maxi dresses. rstyle.me/+McXL6oZRkxywCp1Wr8mbBw This Harriet dress is knee-length but very flattering on a mature woman: rstyle.me/+FS1gNNKGHlKr0OmQIVv8IA
The trick to capsule is finding colours that look great on you and work for your lifestyle. So my work required those black and ivory pieces, but my off time capsule is full of fuchsia and purple!
My comments would be similar to Ewe Ewe Yarns. I like the idea of a capsule wardrobe but how do you start when you have a variety of different colors? Do you make several capsules and add to them as you can to fill in whatever might be missing? I like what I do have but I know it all doesn't go together.
Hi Deborah, That's an excellent question! I have a video coming out soon on how to rotate your wardrobe but in the meantime, I want to answer your question. What I recommend is to start by isolating your basic pieces then layer in a few patterned pieces that coordinate with your wardrobe to create a capsule. 😀
Lol, all the blues look like they are a periwinkle hue. And the medium pinks look like they are neon. It must be the lighting. I love periwinkle and pink!!!! ❤️🌸💕🇺🇸🇧🇷
Hi Joann, All of the items are still available. I just updated a few of the links and with the exception of the blue dress, you can purchase any of them.😀
I hate pink...but it looks great on you ❤️ I have a question for you: why do you pair gold with neutral-Cool, cool colours and not silver or white gold? I am only curios If there is a reason 😇
Out of respect and reverence for God, my Heavenly Father I can no longer subscribe to your channel. The use of OMG on your channel is very offensive to me. You would not use your mother's name as a swear word so why do you so easily use the Holy Father's name in that manner. 😢

This is so awesome! I love seeing capsule wardrobes with lots of colors and patterns!
Great! I'll keep the colorful capsules coming! 😀
Yes, love colors and patterns. And It’s possible to find colors and patterns that mix into a capsule wardrobe.

Thanks you Roberta - I'm so glad you enjoyed it 😀
Nancy can you suggest a good line for plus sizes women to look into for basics in building a capsule wardrobe?
Great colors! I, too, love color and so I do a capsule 'module' every month where I rotate through my colors 1-2 at a time.
Hi Alessandra, I love the idea of rotating through your colors every month - it keeps the wardrobe interesting! 😀
So nice to see a wardrobe of color, most capsule wardrobes shown are all neutrals and make me feel I'm choosing all the wrong items when buying clothing. I love color!
Thanks for your kind words, Donna! I'll be doing a lot more videos on incorporating color into your capsule wardrobe. 😀
