great turtle vid. Something I learned is when choosing a composition to counter large mixed armies look for the unit he isn't using (x) and then produce what (x) counters. for example his army is equal parts knights horsemen archers and crossbow, here x is maa so you produce what maa counters which is spear horsemen combo. Works every time.
the biggest tip above all in this game has to be just keeping a level head, which you did beautifully in this match, and is clearly where your opponent suffered by falling into tunnel vision.
A very helpful video! It was a great example of how tunnel vision can cause you to lose a game, and the importance of being patient and waiting until you have an advantage to fight.
Ahh yes, the 4 -infestor- palace guard hit squad! This is great thanks. Learned lots of little things I didnt really know, like the bit about walling a market.
Ive been playing as japan recently and started using buddist monks in towers as piggy banks that shoot arrows. Its quite neat to have rear towers to store units like villagers in if the need rises. Not for better players as they tend to be able handling units, but for newer ones.
Thanks for the video, it was really interesting to watch. But still, when I saw the title, I expected something like how survive against knights+bows+rams or bows(zhu)+spears+rams. Because this is exactly what gold and platinum players will encounter most of the time.

Good vid 👌🏻
Dude, let the game play out for that sweet closure! Couldn't have been that long at 8x
I am always worried about video run time
When it comes to these types of videos, my bad!
Great stuff!
