I love Sindy dolls. When I was a child I wasn't allowed dolls at all but my cousin had a Sindy doll who I loved to play with. At the time in the UK it felt that Sindy was THE doll to buy. So because of that, Sindy has always had a special place in my heart. You were so lucky to find these two, and at such an amazing price!
Thank you March. I think about you actually when I see sindy dolls because I know you love them. I agree also when I was a kid sindy felt like “the doll” but I always loved Barbie too much ❤️
Hey Candi, you've actually inspired me with my own doll room reorganizing adventure. I have a little larger room than you, but also have a desk, printer, filing cabinet & tv in there, as it's also my office for work. So, one corner is for work. But I had so much crafting supplies, it was taking up good doll display space. So, I moved all crafting supplies to our guest room closet & so if I need to craft, it's no big deal to just go in there & grab them. OMG....it worked out so well. My dolls have more room. And room for more. Yay !
I have never heard of a Cindy doll till now. They are quite cute I think the blond is my favorite. I am so happy they help you heal a part of you that needed it.
Oh my those Sindys what an amazing find ! The blonde doll looks in amazing condition. I only had Sindys growing up no Barbie’s so this is a real blast from the past ❤ xxx
I only had Sindy’s growing up. These were a treasure for you to find. The dark haired girl is def 1970’s ?wedding Sindy as my friend had her. Beautiful.
Sindy was the only doll I had as a child that I loved, as soon as I saw your blond Sindy and the face took me right back. I have to try and get one although I doubt I will pay 50p for it 🥰💖
Same here. I had Sindy in the 60s (65/66). I had all the outfits and two wardrobes. I really regret giving her away in the 70s. I am also going to look for one in the charity shops. I preferred her to Barbie as she was more like a young girl anc her facd was more natural although I do appreciate thd beautiful faces of the Barbie dolls.😊
I love Cindy ❤❤I don't have one but i remember my Babysitters kids having them and always wanted one. So glad you found them for a song 🌞🌞Thank you for teaching me how to heal through dolls lovely 🤗🤗🌻🌻🙏🏻🙏🏻🥰🥰💕💕
The right dolls find us at the right time, don't they 😀 Have collected Sindy since 2008. Thrilled you found these two! The pretty blonde is from 1986. The sweet brunette is maybe late 70s/early 80s when they weren't given as much hair as usual. I got one recently with a thin area - I looked for the parting then spread some of the hair over that area until it all looked fairly even. Time consuming, but quite relaxing too. Sorry for rambling. I hope this is helpful 💖
Two EPIC & AMAZING vintage dolly finds!!!!!!! You are wise to have bought both Cindies for so little!!!!!! Far as outfits go, I personally prefer the second or formerly “filthy” dress & hat veil ensemble. I prefer tea-stained or off-whites over stark crisp starched whites, if that makes sense. I just find them more flattering, for some strange reason, by my face and on my person, though I know we are talking about dolls here, LOL!!!!!!!!😊 Seriously though, I would have bought both these items myself, however, I’m not into Cindy. You make such wonderful and positive “self-defining & affirming” life journey, healing rift observations!!!!! The way I see the big broad picture, we’re moving along in 2024. I hardly think we ought to adhere to others’ - be they by person or by group - imposed definitions, guidelines or the more extreme straightjacket restrictions, the toxicities of our personal and / or (mildly) public past, and allow for these and other petty and small-mindedness to box us in, resulting in more harm than good.🙂🙃 🥳❕🥳❕
I did a bit the same with Sindy! My mother only considered "blonde" dolls & I'm brunette. I had two blonde Sindy's here in Australia. Recently I purchased a vintage brunette ballerina Sindy MIB and stuck up the middle finger! 🤣 So much more to the story like you, but it's all said and done! Freedom is WORTH IT! 🙌🏼❤
Lovely Sindy dolls. I have a few vintage Sindy found in car boot sales. They were also 50 pence with no clothes. Surprisingly, I found one rummaging in a box full of colourful plastic baby toys. She cost me 30 pence and was wearing a dress that turned out to be original. I have no idea why I looked in that baby toys box but it was a good one! It was not that long ago, only 2 years ago. I did find a few months ago a Pedigree wardrobe for Sindy in a charity shop. Inside were two outfits and some shoes in the shoes rack. It was £10, not especially cheap. Despite my lack of space I had to buy it. So cute. I don't find vintage dolls things often. It is quite charming too. In France, the equivalent of Barbie was Tressy, made by the Fench company Bella. Her hair was becoming longer by pulling it. She had a button on her belly to make it shorter or longer by pressing it. I wish I could find one but they are very collectable in France and known for it.
I had a Tressy. That hair was frustrating. It would never spread as far across the head as you wanted it to! As an adult, I'm sure I could make a better job of it though 😁
Oh yes the first vintage sindy I found was at the car boot sale in a 20 p box started my collection and now have a few. I have even rerooted one of them love them all. Kid kreations brought out new ones few yrs ago with the original face I collected them to but these have now finished. Thank you for sharing 😊
What adorable dolls, I'm so glad you were given the chance to welcome Sindy into your life. No Sindy's for me, I've never even run across one in my area
I love the blonde, sindy doll. The dress looks like it's made for her. The 2nd sindy reminds me of a ghost. My sister had 90s sindy dolls. I dont get along with my family either it can be sad sometimes, but for the best.
Love your room Candy ❤. Great job. Only I have a recent love for OMG recently as you know. But on your highest shelf they seem decapetated 😂 … maybe you can switch them I don’t know. Just a suggestion my love.
Sindy was more popular than Barbie when I was growing up. I can't believe you got vintage. Sindy's from 50p absolutely bargain. I always found Sindy's better looking than Barbie ❤
Aww thank you Janet that’s so Kind of you. I do absolutely nothing with my skin I’m afraid. I was always watching my Mum and my sister spending fortunes on creams and gels and constantly putting something on their faces and I thought back as a young teenager gosh all that pulling and pushing of your skin surely over time isn’t good so I decided then to just leave my skin alone ❤️

What a fabulous find, Candy. The second doll looks like she should be starring in a spooky M R James tale 👻
She does Anita doesn’t she

@@lizzieh5284 I much preferred Sindy to Barbie too 🥰
First Sindy is a gorgeous doll! This one is from 1987, I recognize it from her smile, the second one is definitely older, you're right!
Thank you so much for the information ❤️

Totally with you on a preference for tea stained off whites. Yes yes yes to no more prisons or boxes ❤️❤️
