I went to this place last summer because of the shark tooth beach. it is a pretty good place to find fossilized shark teeth and ray dental plates. If you are a fossil enthusiast like me, you will enjoy looking around on the beach.
***** Yep. the fossilized shark teeth usually appear as generally dark, triangular shapes in the sand on this beach, Also watch out for fossilized ray dental plates. They are not as common as the shark teeth, but i have found them at the beach in question. Tip: always go to hunt at low tide, ideally after rain.
Now that shark tooth beach is better known, the path is a lot clearer. My wife and I bike down to it whenever we go to Jekyll. Had no idea about the old marina plans, though.

Glad you found something. All I found was sand and rotting sea grass. I guess you have to know what to look for.

Thanks! And thanks for helping me keep my old bike running!
Great Job! Also I would have turned the wrong way on that trail so many times.
