Taz you should freeze your spinach! You can just put the bag in the freezer and then take handfuls when you need. It’s a life saver :)
She could also cut spinsh and freeze in ice molds
Taz you could just buy frozen spinach... I'm guessing they are even cheaper also. Not sure, maybe it's not a thing in the UK
We do have frozen spinach but it’s super watery you have to defrost and squeeze loads!
apart from bananas (they really don't do well with cold) you can pretty much freeze all and everything. just chop it into good sized chunks for easy use if its a bigger food item and stick it into zip bags before freezing. this also works amazing for sauce - cook a big batch, freeze the sauce in ice cube trays, pop'em into zip bags and heat a few cubes up every now and then if you want a quick homemade sauce for your meal
@@AB-cm2wswe do have frozen spinach, in England at least, but it comes in little rounds/cubes and is best if cooking hot dishes not great for smoothies or omelettes
Look how far you came Taz!! I’m so proud of you. From broke to better! UA-cam really changed you for the better! 💛💛💛
Freezing the spinach was the gamechanger for me because I am not a plan cooker, I do what I am feeling that day 😊
Taz we need a Q&A !
Your work life , your future goals etc!....
Taz!! your 'ideal' protein intake is different for everyone, the same with every element of nutrition. You are doing fine! The media is always telling us we need to do better.
So proud of you. So good to see how far you have come. And to see you putting yourself first! In your old flat you would easily go a day without eating because you didnt think about it. You looked down. You sounded down. You had no drive. Now look- up at 6. Making so many amazing meals that you would have never had made before and loving life! So proud. Hope you open your merch shop again soon, i feel like a new tshirt for this new year 🩷
Love this!
And I'm the same as you. I like a slow calm approach to my day
Your choice of clothing taz has been one of my inspiration on what to wear😊
I love your videos! My mom and I watch them all the time during dinner. I love seeing your progression in cooking more and more. Keep it up☺❤
Ugh the best thing ever is when I see you posted MINUTES AGO I love you
I love this format of video! ❤
Love these 🙂
I would love more of these videos ❤
I love these vlogs they keep motivated🖤
Ahh i just love being early to taz’s videos😮💨
Great video x
So nice that you've found what works for you! I also like a slower morning.
My routine isn't perfect yet, but it's improving. Thanks for sharing your day with us!
❤❤❤❤ beautiful and entertaining as always
Love this type of video content. =)
Lovely I hope you have a nice day!
ill agree with you a million times on the slow and calm morning thing. whenever my mornings are rushed i feel exhausted by the time its noon and its hard to keep up with the day. id rather have my mornings calm and quiet than hurry burry mornings. also i like it when my mornings are quiet.
You can buy frozen spinach. It's frozen in balls so takes up less space, and you don't have to worry about using it up fast or wasting it.
Frozen spinach is great if you want to just pop a little bit into meals. As for protein, don't stress on it. As long as you are having balance in your diet, you probably are getting plenty
Yeah, thought so too, I feel like sometimes she picks some misinformation about nutrition up online.. especially since she is eating many animal products there is nothing to worry about in terms of enough protein🙃
@@sunnygirl5467 ADHD is really good at making 1 fact, even if it's wrong, stick in your head, so I understand why she would cling to that. Add in the number of influencers who say no one is getting enough, it can get dangerous really fast.
hey taz, i love you so much you truly inspire me and i just recently realized you are the only youtuber Ive watched for this time consecutively, and i watch(ed) SOO many, im thinking of starting my own youtube channel and you’re a very big contributor to that decision.❤
Remember that you can freeze your leftover spinach and use it later. This goes for pretty much all veggies.
She's adorable😭😭😭💗🦭🦋 and we need more of thissss
Omg for spinach, I have the perfect recipe. Also, you can just wash, chop and add to scrambled eggs. But here's my recipe.
Spinach Pasta
Ingredients:
15-20 cashews soaked in boiling water. You can use soaked and peeled almonds if you prefer. Or some silken tofu/cottage cheese.
Quarter of an onion
2-3 cloves garlic
2 green chillis
A handful of coriander/basil
Half bunch spinach, blanched
Two teaspoons mustard sauce
Two teaspoons apple cider vinegar (if you don't have, use more lemon)
Juice of quarter lemon + zest
3 tablespoons nutritional yeast or some grated cheddar/parmesan
Salt
1 cup pasta boiled in salted water
What to do:
1)Soak cashews and blanch spinach
2)Drain cashew (or other base like cottage cheese or tofu) and put in the bottom of blender. Add all sauce ingredients except the spinach. Blend till it comes together and add a little water if necessary
3) Add spinach (make sure it's cooled down) and blend till you get a creamy sauce.
4) Mix with pasta. Adjust consistency with water (and add salt and lemon accordingly).
5) Finish with nutritional yeast or grated cheddar/parmesan cheese. I also add finely chopped cherry tomato and olives
Optional:
I usually sauté garlic, onions, zucchini and some boiled corn in olive oil with salt and pepper and add this to the pasta for some nice veggie flavour. Mushroom would be very yummy too. You can use whatever veggies you have available but strongly recommend corn with spinach pasta.
I wany to try this recipe soon.. Thanks! 🤗🙏💞
@@clarissediannetormis5500 my pleasure ❤️
You are doing so well Taz! I think especially for people with ADHD you just have to find what works for you as a routine. You can be so proud of yourself! :)
I am big on writing lists, always use lists, it makes me more organised, and I am more productive. Plus, I like to get EVERYTHING done b4 I start a writing task. Tho sometimes this might not go to plan, lol. More videos like this plz.😊
I'm the same with work lol, there have been days when I was a student and working for exams when I forgot to eat because I was so into my work! Now I've learned to take breaks but it's not easy.
Anyways, I feel like a proud friend watching you do all this, work, cook, sleep better,... You're doing amazing!
im the opposite, i just eat while i procrastinate all the work i should be doing but just cant get started with
You could make spinach butter and keep them in the freezer to use when need it. Melt the butter and let it cool to room temp chop up the spinach and mix it with the butter then put it in a freezer bag. Press it flat and run a spatula edge over the surface of the bag making squares as big as you like and then lay it flat in the freezer to harden.
I'm so proud of her. I just loved how she was all so excited talking about how she works and what works best for her. Also girlie, we can see your adhd shining thru lol. 😂💗Cuz when she said she needed to get all other tasks out of the way to focus on her work; yeah, very relatable. 😭😭
you're meant to have a little less than 1 gram of protein per kilogram of body weight
Yes!! True!! Was going to comment this
ya'll i love Taz SO MUCH OMG
you can freeze the spinach so it doesn't go bad xxx
I love you Taz
yes. My grandmother had a business selling boiled eggs and chickens and that is how we did it.
obsessed with how authentic and sweet and beautiful you are 💓
If u want to save your spinach for later or don't use it all up in one dish, you can freeze it. It'll still taste good next time you use it. I know its getting into the warmer months, but soup is a great example for using frozen spinach, or mixed with eggs, in a sauce ect. I've enjoyed watching how far you've come in your cooking skill and it makes me a bit jealous that I still need to work on mine lol. Great vlog!!
You look beautiful and fresh at 6am love your video's you aŕe always awesome
Taz is so adorable.
Lemon parmesan chicken with rice has spinach in it and is one of my family's favourite meals. Super easy to make but looks impressive - great for when visitors are coming.
btw la roche posay is a boycott product !! it's owned by l' oreal :)
Stop telling people what to do
Omg Thank you for the info! 🌸🍉
Thanks for the info ❤
Taz freeze your spinach! It's so easy and like that you can add it to smoothies or pasta etc whenever
I also love slow mornings where I am still productive but it’s not hectic
ayee!!!!
You can freeze spinach! I actually finish mine now
Hi Taz, try making Palak paneer ( spinach gravy with cottage cheese). It easy to make, highly nutritious and hella yummm 😊
I add spinach to scrambled eggs and smoothie when I need to used it up
Awww babe everyone knows about the boiled eggs in ice cold water trick. But you sounded sooo cute sharing your knowledge with us. Shows us how genuine you are. But that was soooo damn cute haha and a little funny
i would love to see your admin/behind the scene task flow too
Quick recipe for a spinach side: you can fry however much garlic you like in a bit of oil, add a spoon of flour, mix and fry for maybe 10 seconds, add boiled (or frozen) spinach, then add about 2-3 cups of milk depending on how thick you want this to be, add salt and pepper and leave it to simmer for 10 minutes. Here in Serbia its commonly eaten with a fried egg or as a side with meat.
80-100 grams of protein is recommended for women, but it definitely varies person to person! And once you start learning what is higher in protein, it’s not hard to hit your goals!!!
7/7.5mins I find is the perfect boiled egg!!! Also chuck spinach in your curries Taz! 😘
❤❤.
I even chose the wrong direction in my Master and now I can't change it and now I understand that words mean something as you said and I am struggling a looot
taz id love for you to do a video about must see spots to visit in london just like overall a what to do as a tourist london guide 😭
You can boil your spinach so it takes up less space and makr them into like balls or something and you can freeze it so when you have food you want to pop it into you can just grab a couple balls of it from the freezer and off you go!❤
Hey Taz, you can try palak paneer an Indian curry. It's basically palak(spinach) with paneer( or replace it with tofu). Do check out the recipes! I believe that it's as good as your chickpea and spinach curry!
I love eating Spinach (call me Mrs. Popeyes) some recipes I recommend are Palak (Spinach) Paneer & Palak Gosht (Meat).
You should try the Romanian recipe of creamy spinach with fried eggs, it's very tasty and easy to make :)
pilates is great for toning and some lean muscle!
For the spinach,
Sautee some chopped garlic in olive oil then add all the spinach you want and add salt, pepper and a squeeze of lemon.. This entire bag can welt into 3 bites!
You can store this in fridge, use it as a side dish with anything, or add to scrambled eggs, omelets or in sandwiches
The recommendation is 0.8 gram per kilo if body weight. But I read that it's the minimum and people should opt for 1.2 gm to 1.6 gm per kilo of body weight. So a 70 kg girl for instant should eat between 84 gm and 112 gm of protien.
You are right 0,8 gramms is under normal sercumstances. When you want to loose weight, so eat less calories you should up to 1,8 - 2 grams, to not loose musclemass.
Spinach is also nice to add to a salad (or as replacement for the lettuce). You can also add cold boiled pasta to a salad to make it a meal and leave the pasta out when you want to keep it light for a side dish😊 (Lots of example recipes online) Enjoy!
(Sorry if there are grammer mistakes, I'm not a native and I'm dyslexic😅❤🇳🇱)
easiest way to use up spinach - add it in sauces, but especially in omelettes/scrambled eggs!
Chick pea and spinach or daal and spinach are such amazing curry’s. If you add coconut milk to the chickpea and spinach curry with a little tahini omg its the best!!
Put oil and green chillies in pan and then straight away put spinach and salt just cook for some time and eat it with naaan ..it’s tastes good nd simple just it takes 5..10 min to cook
you could make a smoothie with the spinach
SPINCH CORN PIE!!!! SO YUM
Try Palak Paneer. Soooooo easy to cook. Indian cheese and Spinach etc.
I freeze spinach and use it whenever i need it
Hey Taz, the grams of protein you need depend a lot on your body and goals. Don't go for what others say it's the rule. Working out on itself already increases your metabolism, so it will be easier to gain lean mass as you train more and more. But your body is different from other people and you can train harder, eat 80g of protein and see results and train lightly, eat 150g of protein and still see results are taking longer. Just note down your macros if you want (protein is not the only important thing) and be sure you take care of your micros too, fiber, etc. Then start with a value of protein and if it's not working, slightly adjust with time. Drink plenty of water too and sleep well! Skipping these two drastically improve or destroy your progress. And most of all, have fun :)
Cut and freeze your spinach. It happens to me, but I freeze it and just get the amount I need.
I think a science based protein recommendation is 1.6-2.3 grams per kg of body weight. Lower (1.6) is probably okay for most people
Taz being productive makes me feel unproductive hehe
For proteins, try to get 0.8 to 1 grams times your weight in pounds (or 1,5 to 2x grams times your weight in kgs) when you work out or have an active job. So i aim for 120gr protein for 60kg body weight
Maybe u should try the curly hair method
hi。friendly advice: don't pour boiling water right into your empty sink. it can ruin your pipes. i usually pour cold water in the pan with boiled eggs first or right into the sink and let it run while pouring hot water. i hope I explained it alright 😅 English is not my native language
if you are going to cook the spinach, you can throw that whole bag of spinach in freezer and you just take out what you need and out it in your pot of pan right away. You get the same results and don't waste the spinach.
Egg spinach tin tomatoes and spices
A humidifier might help with that winter dry skin.
protein intake depends on your weight and all it's not the same for everyone
how did you tie your t-shirt so neatly into a crop 😮 pls share your secrets
Are boiled eggs the most common way too make eggs for breakfast over there?
9:30 That’s soooo true but I have to start with work unfortunately🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲
Make smoothie with it
Most adults need around 0.75g of protein per kilo of body weight per day (for the average woman, this is 45g, or 55g for men)
Running cold water over your boiled eggs also stops them from cooking on the inside :) the more you know
Where are your flowery skirts from? I need to buy skirts and dresses
You should get a computer mouse… it is life changing!
Tazzzzz plsssss link your beddding I have benn looking for that for so long
you could add spinach to your ramen
3:24 if you are x kgs you need to have x amount of protein daily. It’s roughly same as your weight in kgs.
1gram of protein per kilo is fine if tou workout, it's more rhan enough 😊
So... English is my second language and I couldn't understand what's the name of the site you use to organize your ideas for work... Could you share the name so I could check it out? ❤
I think it's Milanote!
I'm just wondering are you in Grace taking the same class together
omg tatty macleod on brick lane
Eating an egg without salt and pepper seems wild to me ,but maybe I am picky
Protein 0.8g per kg of lean body weight per day
