For these lemon pepper wings you'll need...
2-3 lbs chicken wings
1 teaspoon granulated garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon sea salt (any salt)
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
1 tablespoon lemon pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 tablespoon corn starch
3 tablespoon melted butter
1 tablespoon lemon pepper (no salt)
1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley
zest of 1 med lemon
juice 1/2 lemon
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Love the fact that you mentioned reducing the sodium content. I don’t do salt unless it’s absolutely necessary. But what I have found is that the market for sodium free seasoning has grown substantially.

I laugh so hard when you said the only 2 things we caribbean's use lemom for is to wash the meat and make juice. I grew up in the caribbean and that is so true. And not washing your chicken and rice is a big no no for me 😂

@Zeva B last night I was killing the wings (and some chicken breasts before that) and obsessing about how could anyone not use lemon to wash the chicken (per the CDC, you shouldn't wash the chicken 🤣🤣🤣). It even reduces the "greasy" feeling of the chicken. For me it was very satisfying.

It may not be Caribbean, but it sure is glorious!! I totally agree on the overly salted dishes. Nothing ruins a great dish faster than too much salt. I had no idea lemon pepper came in salt free. I found it at my local grocery store. Epic!! Thanks for the tip! 👍

Chris, this is a must try. You are so right, lemon pepper is not a Caribbean thing. I recently bought a bottle, first time, it's hardly been used. I use it when I am seasoning fish so now I can use it on my wings and other meats. You see why I follow you ha ha ha
