Mami has to intimately know and consciously recreate her guns on the spot. Which is still hilarious, but dayum girl.
I wanted to cry watching this. Even though at first I felt like Mami's character was lacking (due to the fact she was gone so early in the storyline), I really so love her character.
She names the attacks because it reminds her of the magical girls of her own childhood and that gives her a little more courage to face the witches. Other puella magi just seem to think of it as stupid and inconvenient...
I doubt that. I think Homura, Madoka, and Sayaka like it as in Homuilys laybirnith they all say attacks like magical girls. Probably just try to take the job seriously and have a lot of guts Edit: Also in the different story Kyoko said it so I’m assuming they only do it when they aren’t traumatized

the letters/symbols are actually a runic text made for the show. each of the symbols are a certain letter and spell out the name. but on the other hand, the words/sentences you see in the show translate to jibberish if you dont know what youre looking at. its actually text in German. people just translate it to english.
