Very interesting videos!I am also Electrician in Greece since 2000.In the USA you have a different cable system as far the colors and the cross section of conductors and plugs etc concerned but the idea of wiring is pretty similar!!!
Great videos! You are f'ng awesome. Your experience shows. I do have a question for you. What is the device that you're using to spin your wire? I use something called a willis which is okay, but it takes up way too much space in the truck, especially if I have 2 or 3. I like the idea of just setting a roll of wire on a small lazy suzan type of thing and pulling from it.
Looking forward to seeing how you strip a wire already in the box. I personally staple near the box instead of inserting the wire into the box. The later strip the wire and enter it into the box. Great videos, keep them coming. I am showing them to all my students.
Great job with the videos pretty hands on. Do you run into issues with dimming lights when you wire these track homes? This is happening in my home when I plug in a vacuum and even when i turn on the bathroom fan. Just curious I know that now days companies a roping pretty much everything together.
Your vacuum has a high amp draw so they usually do make lights dim a little. Now the bathroom fan is not supposed to dim lights, maybe a loose connection on neutral?
Hi, I'm writing from Middle Europe and interested why the wires are not in electrical tubing (flexible) pulled in this case? Which US standard is related to it?
Its funny we wire with BX here in NYC...what i would be interested in the video is to go over codes such as how many recepticles you can have in a room on a wall to meet code vs extra. In addition, things like wiring three way switches with power in the middle, and end of light runs, Code for stapling wire out the boxes, and how far apart, height off finished floor for those holes between the studs, and why you put them where you do. Height of boxes and switches off the floor (you may have covered in another video)..Thanks, great stuff!
bx cable is the worst. I could not imagine how long it would take me to do that. Mad props for dealing with how your inspectors interpret the code where you are.
NEC code and you're seeing him do it and explain, there's also many others on UA-cam including Inspectors more detailed like how much wire and sheathing to pull through, distance of receptacles and how many on one circuit. There's rules of thumb but they're pretty close just like standard building practices but that Concrete City probably requires more with everyone connected. It's just a bunch of wires, once you pull a few through it's repetitious pinning, splicing and connecting, he'll show you pinning in another video.
Can be more than 9 openings per circuit Also bath and half bath are running with #12 wire Can't use #14 for and cannot be on the circuit of the bedroom

I thought all outlets must be wired with 12/2, not 14/2. I also thought you should keep your lighting circuits separate from your outlet circuits through separate home runs.
I run 14/3 as a home runs for bedrooms, living room, hall, kitchen lighting. I pair the rooms up and run one double pole arc fault breaker. One less home run and the double pole is cheaper than two single pole arc fault breaker.
@@ny2la2day It is called a multi wire branch circuit. MWBC.. check the NEC. It is just 2 circuits that share a neutral, which is allowed as long as they are on a 2 pole breaker.

dont you have to nail plate all those receptacles that you used the first spot to put wire in cause its not an 1 1/4 " from stud??
to protect the wire from the drywallers screws......
To my understanding for receptacles 12-2 romex wire is for power. 14-2 romex would be for the lighting circuit also for the switch leg.
That's why your not a electricain
