  • talk about appeasement. he is not taking into account, nor mentioning the number of Muslim victims of the Bombay blasts.
Amir Khan is one of Bollywood's biggest star's and is internationally known and recognized. He is a descendant of India's first education minister, and independence leader, Moulana (title of Muslim priest) Abul Kalam Azad. His relative, Najma Hepatullah, is a politician, once a member of the secular Congress party that lead India to independence, now a member of the right-wing extremist, Hindu fundamentalist, BJP.

@shobhan1951 my problem is that he is not mentioning the fact that plenty of Muslims were also victims of what happened in bombay, thats why i call it appeasement. i didnt see amitabh or akshay kumar calling on hindus to come out to protest what happened in gujarat or the demolition of babri masjid.

to the uploader, i think that his reply was more nuanced than your video title suggests, he was also saying hindus need to recognise saffron extremism in india..he was being political and careful with his words but this was not appeasement

Khan was born in Bandra's Holy Family Hospital, Mumbai, India, to a Muslim family that has been actively involved in the Indian motion picture industry for several decades. His father, Tahir Hussain, was a film producer while his uncle, Nasir Hussain, was a film producer as well as a director and an actor. His family on his father´s side are originally from Herat, Afghanistan.

@ravibudela Very good comment!!! I am glad to see this! It's easy for us to criticize them for what they are saying during an interview calmly, but it is certainly not easy to say something calmly on a pressuring interview!!

SALMAN KHAN YOU HAVE MY SUPPORT!!!!!! I am happy to see that you are a man of conviction. Few would dare to do what you did, for they have fear or they are ignorant. @MrKasperabhay i actually live in the west, in america, and nothing compares to what we are seeing over in india. i have yet to see any of our mosques to be demolished in the west. i have yet to see organized riots against us in the west, the way we see in india all the time. gujarat is a perfect example of that, which happened 10 years ago.

I liked it when you grouped terrorists into one group and that they belong too no religion. Religion with God as its symbol should never propagate violence and terror.

I could hear and see, without physically hearing and seeing with my natural eyes and ears. I felt this great shaking in my spirit and I saw what appeared to be a black preacher in the vision and he had a bible in his right hand, and he started saying. GLORY TO GOD, GLORY TO GOD! Now, I could hear him say this in my spirit, I wasn't physically hearing with my ears, but I could understand it very clearly and vividly. It was like I had ears on my ribs, and this was how I could hear.

Nice and sophisticated response from Amir Kha. If Bal Thackeray or Advani or Praveen Togadia kills Muslims ... I'm not shocked or ashamed, it is what they are borned for and they openly claim. What I'm ashamed of is our responsible authorities and courts ... sitting like dead ducks or doing not enough to deliver JUSTICE to the weak & prejudiced. Children (weak & less educated) will fight ... BUT it is the duty of Parents to CONTROL them establish JUSTICE. I wish and hope the Majority to do this.

its profanity to ask every muslim who was born here like yourself, to prove his loyalty to nation. As for the latter of your comment, I'm not stereotyping Muslims as bad people. I respect everyone as a human being, it is their beliefs and irrational notions that I find hysterically ridiculous.

well i do hail from an indian muslim family, many of us do have relatives in karachi. i dont see why hating pakistan = 'patriotism'? especially when china is a bigger threat. its enemy #1 for usa, so why not india? pakistan doesnt have the military capability of china and is merely their ally. yet all the politicians do is harp on pakistan so much, versus trying to find a fair solution to the decades long kashmir dispute which keeps both countries in poverty.

@malganis83 The First Information Report (FIR)[1] filed by Shri Nand Lal Mehta shows that the last words of Gandhi were Raam - Raam (as in Nathuram - Nathuram). There has been no explanation of why he was not rushed to the hospital and was instead taken to Birla House, where he died later.[2] The last words uttered by Mahatma Gandhi are still a matter of debate. Venkita Kalyanam, former personal assistant to Mr. Gandhi, said that he was present at the spot and that Gandhi said "oh God".
